Husband and I were waiting for a part for RV so we visited the fabulous Kimball. Local NPR affiliate prompted their Friday evening talk so we timed trip for dining in museum. Having chatted with 2 firemen in the canned bean aisle of Walmart I knew that whole foods, plant-based was not unheard of in Texas. I also ordered DVD... More

If you visit the Kimbell, plan on having lunch at the Buffet. The food is great and the atmosphere wonderful. I'd call it medium priced. The buffet has many yummy choices and it sure beats any of the nearby fast food places. We like it so much that we've gone there for a relaxing lunch without visiting the museum.

Delicious and just right portions. Quiche and a half sandwich with soup or salad. Very reasonably priced, too.

The chicken gingered soup is outstanding. The curried carrot slices, beets, and mandarin oranges is the best salad type dish I;ve ever eaten...Ever! Melinda and I enjoyed our food because as foodies, this food sets the standard for absolutely deliciously wonderful.

I like to stop after touring art and chat with my friends about what we saw. Even after their lunch service is over it is nice to get a latte and some water and relax.

We grabbed a meal here after seeing the Monet exhibit. We've eaten here several times over the years, and the food is always delicious.

The buffet restaurant at the Kimball Museum is a terrific bargain. By that I mean great, healthy, fresh food of high quality for a very reasonable price. Salads, quiche, soup, and sandwiches are available. One only chooses between 3 plate sizes. Then you are free to fill your plate as high as you can! Enjoy!

The Buffet at the Kimbell offers a diner the choice of "3 out of 4" daily offerings, which change daily: soup, salad, quiche, and sandwich. You may top off this filling array of delicious food with a tempting dessert, but we did not have 'room'! Courteous restaurant help, tables cleared and cleaned quickly, and food that is both delicious and... More

We ate again at the Kimbell Buffet during a preview visit to the new Monet exhibit. The food was better than ever. You can choose a small, medium, or large plate at various prices and choose as much food as you can fit on your plate. We had an excellent tortilla soup , a good quiche, a 1/2 pastrami sandwich.... I absolutely love the buffet at the Kimbell! It's one of my favorite places to have lunch. So many things to choose from - homemade soups, quiche, sandwiches, and a variety of delicious salads! Dessert, too! All so good! Tea, lemonade, or coffee comes with your meal!
