Great venue to visit with family and friends, a few steps to the entrance to the Modern Art Museum, surrounded by refreshing landscape, parking no problem, good food selection and friendly staff.

I have been here many times for lunch and it generally is very quiet and subdued, but Sunday the place was buzzing. Loud conversations and generally convivial atmosphere---maybe because Sundays are free admission, and it's a different crowd? Not sure why the difference, but it was a happy place to have brunch---I would have felt better about taking kids there... More
We had Sunday lunch before touring the Kimbell Museum next door. Bright, open, cheery, modern space. You must have reservations in order to sit at the preferred area near the windows that have a view to the water feature, even though there are multiple tables unoccupied in that area. The food is quality and servers polite, if slow. My wife... More
The three of us headed to Café Modern to celebrate a 94th birthday. The day was beautiful and sunny adding to the wonderful view of the lagoon. The metal sculpture in the distance dazzled in the sun rays. Each of us enjoyed a different entrée ~ Redfish and Lentils; the Chef's Plate featuring Drum with a seasonal risotto and the... More
We went for one of their wine dinners. The food and wine were both fabulous. We had a table near the windows overlooking the water. For each course the winery rep explained the wine and the chef explained the food. It was informative and fun.
While the setting was perfect, with the restaurant overlooking the beautiful lagoon, the dining experience was far less than anticipated. I'll give the management credit for opening on a special occasion day, but virtually from start to finish, the meal and service were not up to par. The three course fixed-prix (which I do not recall was disclosed when I... More
One of the best eggs benedict plates I have ever had. I was skeptical of the southwestern benedict, but it had the right amount of chorizo (instead of ham) and avocado. We sat right by the window and drank champagne while we talked. Do not miss this place!
Expensive for consistently tiny portions and inconsistent quality. Get the burger, the one thing on the menu that is always good and will fill you up....might be the best burger in Fort Worth! I dont know why i keep giving this cafe another chance, but The Modern Art Museum is just so cool.
We went here before visiting the Kimbal museum. Try to get a seat over looking the outside water feature. We had a wonderfully soft spoken waiter. I asked about the bahn mi oyster sandwich and he said it was wonderful. On his recommendation, I ordered it. It was not very good. The fried oysters were dry. It was served on... More
This place is awesome! It's sorta tucked away inside the museum but the room is phenominal & the food is just as good! Never has anything bad off their menu. When I want to treat my houseguests to a unique dining experience this is definitely one of the places to go. LOVE.
