Decided to stop in for lunch and left very full and more than satisfied. We decided on a dozen oysters on the half shell for appetizers which were delicious. Husband ordered Ray's salad and i ordered the chicken flautas for the main course. We were not finished with the oysters when our meals arrived but it did not take long... More

El Rey is a good restaurant but it's nothing special. The food was good and the service was also average. The ambiance is chill and it is a good place to come if you are in the mood for some Mexican food.

I was pretty impressed at how good this place is. This was like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm have been disappointed by the restaurants in this small town but finding this place, it was almost a blessing! There is nothing on this menu that I can say I didn't like. Their lunch specials are great and the amount... More

If you want TexMex this may not really be your place. It is much more authentic to the Mexican flavors and style which makes it a very good change for those getting tired of the same type of mexican food. Food is very delicious with large portions. You will not leave hungry. Recommend trying their Vodka Sangria for the real... More

We eat here about 1-2 times a month. Always pleased with service. My husband and I usually split the Fish Tacos. Lunch is great, and very affordable. Lunch specials daily.

We've eaten or gotten take-out here several times. On one or two occasions I've gotten a great meal. Most of the time there have been problems of some sort - part of the order was wrong or missing, etc. This last time my food was cold - not that it sat out too long before serving, but it was never... I love Mexican food and this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and local. I had the enchilada plate and ordered borracho beans to go with it. I took 2 bites of my beans because they were less than lukewarm and there were huge chunks of jalapeno pepper in them. The waiter was very nice. Since I have... More

After getting directions. Then having car nav take us the wrong way. We finally found this restaurant. We came here on a recommendation from the hotel staff. She said that this is the most authentic Mexican food in town. And she was right. At the end of a long day. At the end of a long week. This place hit... More

3.5 stars. We have basically had very good experiences here although you never know until you walk in the door. They seem to have a tough time hanging onto servers so that accounts for the iffy service time to time. If we want real Mexican around Dripping, this is it. Really dislike the alternatives except for the place up Hwy... More

We don't have many choices for restaurants so this one we rate as decent. Food is average (not spicy enough), staff is friendly, very good Mexican Martinis. Chips are okay and salsa is bland. We do like their breakfasts.
