The wait was about 45min but we'll worth it. Everything, including the pickles, onion and bread, was perfect. Every piece of beef, pork or turkey was delicious

We took a friend to Salt Lick for a weekday lunch. While we got right in right I was blown away by the size of the parking lot and the size of the waiting area. That said, lunch was fantastic. My favorite were the ribs,...More

We ordered spicy chicken with cole slaw and potatoes, baby back ribs, brisket and peach cobbler for dessert . Must haves were the chicken and the peach cobbler. Baby back ribs were average. The brisket was a bit too fatty and was a bit cold...More

We had a rainy day, but the place was still packed. You can tell this place is one of the sight seeing tours, since there were busses parked outside and lots of people waiting to be seated or to order take out. Everyone was very...More

The Salt Lick was our final stop on Austin Detours's "Hill Country Wine and BBQ Shuttle". Our tour guide had warned us about the afternoon crowds, so we took his recommendation and ordered our food for pick-up ahead of time. Indeed, the place was packed...More

Went with a couple of old military friends on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Wait was about 45-minutes, but didn't seem as long. They have a winery/beer room where you can purchase drinks for your wait; or even BYOB. All 3 of us had the...More

Do you allow dogs on the outdoor patio?

Response from Linda R | Reviewed this property |
Yes, they allow dogs. But only on the outside patio and they must be on a leash. The outdoors is where they have the music so it's not all bad except in the Summer when it can reach 100° out there and 90° at night.
