So, a little weird, but a good steakhouse located underground. NO windows. But, downtown. Staff was nice. Small full Bar. Pretty crummy wine selection, but great food. Go figure. I have no idea. BUT, conveniently located two blocks from the Fairmont hotel. You could walk...More

We had been at this steakhouse since the concierge of the Fairmont Hotel recommended it highly. Once we arrived, we noticed the immense noise level of the two dining rooms. No place to escape. The decor in the main dining room is old style and...More

We took a tour of the city of Dallas. One of the stops was Dakota '. We Decided to check it out based on guide's recommendation. Boy was he right. One of the best meals we've had in some time.

Food was great and atmosphere very nice, but pricey at dinner time. They have a different menu for lunch and dinner. Reservations but a few table were available.

Enjoyed a delicious and inventive dinner. I got the duck and my friend had the steak. Both were cooked perfectly. The sides were also delicious, we have asparagus and potatoes. The staff was SUPER friendly and even gave me a card for my birthday (nice...More

Went to Dakota's for a birthday dinner with my parents. From the moment we came in we were treated like royalty. The waiter (blond, mid 30's) was so attentive and loved each of his recommendations.

While on a business trip to Dallas, I decided to try Dakota's Steakhouse for dinner. I was surprised to find the restaurant below the street level. I'm glad that I checked it out, because the Cowboy ribeye was excellent. Since I was dining alone, I...More

The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive when necessary but not overbearing and our courses came out at a relaxing pace. Our main course of filet mignon and rib eye steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The baked potato and brussel sprouts were...More

During a recent stay in downtown Dallas for a conference at the Fairmont, we took the "tunnels" to Dakota's and had a wonderful experience as a larger group. For the most part, we had the place to ourselves. We absolutely loved our server. She was...More

Don K
Well Hello, my name is Don Kappel and I have an idea for a new television show all about wine. As you probably know there are lots of food/cooking programs being broadcast today, and even a cable tv channel called the food network, but nothing about wine! Wouldn't be nice to learn about wines, how it is produced, where it comes from and what foods are a perfect match. Well, that is what this show would be all about. So here is my question for you. Would you want to have your company featured on this program? If your answer is YES, would you be willing to make a minimum investment to help with production costs? We are looking for 4 title sponsors to make a one time investment of $5000. and you would have special acknowledgements with mentions at both the opening and closing of the show as well as advertising time during all commercial breaks. This is a great investment opportunity. At this point, we are working with 3 different television production companies (2 in Calif and 1 in Texas). We do have interest from a few cable networks, like the Food Network, Cooking Channel and the Travel Channel just to mention a few. So it's up to you, do you want to be the first company to support IT IS WINE TIME? Please let me know and your sponsorship will be put under a contract. Thank you, Don Kappel PS. Please contact me to arrange a meeting to discuss this opportunity

We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That's why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time. It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner. We update our menu twice a year so each time you dine with us you experience fresh flavors that go with every season.
