I have eaten a couple times now at Mai's--all lunches. It is somewhat value-priced Vietnamese food . There is an okay lunch special, that offers a main course, plus your choice of a cup of soup, a cabbage/carrot/cucumber salad or stir fried vegetables. The soup is like a wonton broth, and the salad is nicely crunchy. The $8.50 special is... More

My husband and I were wanting Asian cuisine. So I googled such and Mai's was the closest restaurant with already good ratings. We didn't regret our choice at all. The Wonton soup and Spicy Chicken Soup had great flavor. #43 noodles with chicken and shrimp and prepared medium spice was excellent. We actually order chicken fried rice to go so... More

I love the Pho here. I get the spicy chicken soup and #2 Spring rolls with a Thai iced tea. The neighborhood surrounding is changing, so don't judge the place by the outside. It's clean and well run inside.

They have a primarily Vietnamese menu with traditional dishes. Service is very friendly and efficient. Good prices and food quality.

The food here is very good, and from what I'm told, very authentic. Enjoy a Vietnamese Hot Coffee while you're there.

Has Combination Curry Clay Pots, which were excellent. The food is extremely hot when served and stays hot in the pot. Put some on a little plate to let it cool. Also had friend spring rolls which were not the greatest. Service was good and very friendly. will go back.

I understand some of the mixed reviews--my spring roll, butterfly shrimp and soup (part of the "dinner" I'd ordered) were undistinguished, but the Spicy Lemongrass Beef was fabulous. As were the clay pots, currys and Phos of my tablemates. Authentic and tasty! Important to know, Mai's is BYOB if you want to drink alcohol. Fortunately, other people in our party... More

Had Mai's for lunch today and it was mediocre at best. The fried egg roll was almost inedible and the sauce didn't help at all. The spicy lemongrass chicken was just okay. Will not be back. Many other Viet restaurants with much better food around.

A neighborhood spot (rough area) but delicious fresh food. Try the imperial rolls, Curry Clay Pot and Spicy Chicken soup are excellent.

My Wife love Mai's but living in DC for 14 years, we rarely dined there. Our first time back recently and the food is still as amazing as when she first introduced it to me in early 2002. The staff are so friendly and ambience so beautiful.
