Herrera's Cafe (not to be confused with the tourist-oriented Cafe Herrera in the Omni Hotel) was a Dallas institution on Maple Avenue (at three different addresses) from circa 1971 until about 2015 when it moved to across the Trinity to 3311 Sylvan Avenue, Dallas, TX 75212 where it carries on a great tradition. Sure wish TripAdvisors would update the address.... More

We have been fans for >30 years; we've eaten at 3 locations and just keep following them. Good, good food. All 5 of us enjoyed this January 2017 visit for breakfast.

The staff, the food, and an even better atmosphere! This place is my go-to Tex-Mex restaurant. I tried the other menu items years ago but I love my "jessica" plate dearly. Spicy salsa, cheesy enchiladas, refried beans to die for, even the iced tea is great! You won't go wrong here, enjoy.

Nothing special going on here. Friendly place, good value, just not memorable as far as the food goes. Not much more I can say.

The food is so good and very authentic. the folks there are very nice and make you feel right at home. This restaurant has been around over 40 yrs. and I have always been there for when they were pushed out of locations and had to start over at new locations. Just love this place

All around OK Tex-Mex...for Dallas. I was however - AWESTRUCK - by the complimentary bowl of beans they give you as you're seated. Some of the best beans I have ever eaten. I asked what the secret was...and the guy said: "hey, they're just beans and water"...must be magic water.

The service is pretty good. It is fast and the employees are friendly. The food is pretty tasty, but the soup is not my favorite for some reason.

My co-workers and I went to Herrera's for lunch. There is always seating, and the waiters are ready to take your order. The food comes out quick as well. I ordered the chicken fluatas (Nina's plater). The fluatas are very large. This dish comes with beans, guac, sour cream, cheese and a bean soup. I really liked the soup. I... More
