Food was good...not great. Ambiance, likewise. Our server last night was well below par - folksy, too familiar, and too forgetful. Sorry, it was my one-and-only experience of the place. I'm sure a 4-star evening could be easily had here. But I doubt one could...More

What a beautiful setting! We got a good waitress but the hostess could be more energetic. The lunch buffet ($25) pretty much has everything on the menu. The best dish at the buffet was the Gulf Fish; cooked to perfection and the spice was unique....More

Texas Spice restaurant is conveniently located in the Dallas Omni Hotel, where I recently attended a convention. I ate twice at the restaurant, once for breakfast which was really good and good service though a bit pricey -- typical for a convention hotel. However, then...More

I arrived a bit late for breakfast but was craving eggs. I inquired whether it was possible to get some sort of egg dish and it turned out that the Executive Chef personally cooked me an omelet!!!! It was delicious by the way!! The staff...More

We had a 10 min wait before we were seated for breakfast, which was fine. Staff were super friendly and restaurant looked good and clean. Eggs benedict was pretty tasty but came with a huge portion of sliced potatoes and, bizarrely, two whole scallions on...More

Came here with friends for a great breakfast. Food was excellent, as was the service. Only marking them down at all because they managed to completely screw up a cappuccino (virtually no foam). Would definitely come back though.

Ate breakfast here two mornings while staying at the Omni. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Choices are good, and include a pretty impressive buffet. Oatmeal, fruit, and American Classic were particularly good choices.

Food was good, service was good. Nothing extraordinary about the food. Breakfast buffet was $20 for the basic breakfast fare available anywhere in the US. Fish tacos had very little fish and lots of cabbage.

The breakfast buffet- $20- is a bargain! Fresh assortment of premium fruits, an assortment of hot and cold offerings along with eggs, omelettes, and pancakes. Everything I had was fantastic! Non-alcoholic beverages included. The sausage link was a hit!

We do not carry a happy hour at Texas Spice but The Owners Box, also located in the hotel, does. Hope to see you soon, Chuck!

Thanks for asking Erika! Unfortunately, our furry friends are not allowed. The doors to the patio are sliding and therefore count as a complete restaurant (both patio and inside seating). The city has made it illegal for us... More

Well Hello, my name is Don Kappel and I have an idea for a new television show all about wine. As you probably know there are lots of food/cooking programs being broadcast today, and even a cable tv channel called the food network, but nothing about wine! Wouldn't be nice to learn about wines, how it is produced, where it comes from and what foods are a perfect match. Well, that is what this show would be all about. So here is my question for you. Would you want to have your company featured on this program? If your answer is YES, would you be willing to make a minimum investment to help with production costs? We are looking for 4 title sponsors to make a one time investment of $5000. and you would have special acknowledgements with mentions at both the opening and closing of the show as well as advertising time during all commercial breaks. This is a great investment opportunity. At this point, we are working with 3 different television production companies (2 in Calif and 1 in Texas). We do have interest from a few cable networks, like the Food Network, Cooking Channel and the Travel Channel just to mention a few. So it's up to you, do you want to be the first company to support IT IS WINE TIME? Please let me know and your sponsorship will be put under a contract. Thank you, Don Kappel PS. Please contact me to discuss this opportunity
