My family decided to try out another Central American restaurant instead of Tex-Mex while I was visiting. We weren't served the famous tamale bread, just chips and salsa, which was a little bit of a let down. I had a chicken tamale and corn tamale served with cream. The latter was very rich. Both were good. My father got a... More

Growing up in Texas, I assumed that Latin American foods were all the same. How wrong I was... This place does a fantastic job of highlighting the traditional dishes and drinks of Central America. The waitress was very helpful in her suggestions, and I enjoyed everything that I tried! I had never had a pupusa before, and it was extremely... More

I was trying to find a restaurant that's kind of my type of home cooked meals and it was real good. I'm from Honduras so it was really nice to find a place that has good food that's similar to home.

Ate here for lunch, had driven by it a million times and seen positive reviews so wanted to try it! I had the Pupusas and my friend had a pupusa and tamale. All were very good! We also shared a fried plantain with sugar and cream. The table next to us had the fried chicken which looked absolutely wonderful, I... More

I think it's a really good thing that I don't live in College Station, because if I did, I think I'd routinely eat the pupusas from this place until I made myself sick. They are so amazingly good— and inexpensive. $2.50 a piece is super affordable for something this tasty! Centro America Restaurant is a well-hidden little gem of a... More

The food is great. Never had a bad meal. My wife and I both agree on that. Sometimes it takes time to get served but I think that is because the food is prepared to be a genuine representation of Central American food. Genuine is confirmed by Central American folk I know. Does not have alcohol but the drinks are... More

One of my favorite restaurants in college station. I always order pupusas, fried plantains, and a fruit water. Simple, fresh, and cheap, paired with humble service.

On our visit to A&M, I wanted to eat ethnic food. This was very convenient except google maps gave us wrong directions and it took a while to find it. It's in a tiny shopping center. We had street tacos, fish tacos, chicken/cheese pupusa, revuelta(chicharron) pupusa, chuchitos, tamal de elote, empanada and sandia and horchata to drink. We didn't have... More

I've eaten here several times. The food here is very fresh and tasty. Be warned though, it isn't spicy like Mexican food. The flavors are very good, but much more subtle than the flavors of Mexican/Tex Mex. The service is always excellent. Pupusas are great. The bistec (steak) was tender and delicious. I love their chips and salsa is good,... More
