Four of us enjoyed a very good meal here tonight. Three of us ordered the schnitzel with mushroom sauce on top. It came with spaetzle, grated carrots, and a bit of red cabbage. The portion was large and very tasty. We indulged with crepes and bread pudding for dessert. The service was friendly, and although we didn't try any, they... More

Considering that the Bauhaus is located in Texas and not Germany, it might be unreal to expect the cuisine to match the authenticity of true German food. But, it is very good nonetheless. They could use some lessons on the preparation of schnitzels. In Germany, the schnitzel meat (pork or veal) is pounded down to a thin piece of meat... More

Don't let the exterior fool you. Walked in here early on a Friday evening. Nice interior with great German food. Pauliner beers on tap. Nice sized schnitzel portions and very tasty. Great service and atmosphere. The Nutella crepes for dessert were out of this world.I lived in Germany for a few years and this is definitely one of the better... More

My co-worker and I ate here on a recent business trip. Great place. From the outside it looks like small town America storefront, but inside is a pretty nice looking slice of German. Not quite an authentic beer hall, but pretty close. I had the Jagerschnitzel, a pork schnitzel with a mushroom gravy on it. The schnitzel was terrific, cooked... More

The schnitzels are consistently over breaded and over cooked. Size is excellent; price is okay. I thought German potato salad was always served hot, but here, it's apparently refrigerated. The decor is good; the beer is mostly Paulaner varieties.

This is a fun place to experience some great German food, beer, and ambiance. They have several schnitzel dishes, as well as spatzle and red cabbage. The sausage platter makes a great appetizer to go with the German beer.

So the German beers are authentic, that's about it. They're good, too, although the selection could be a little more varied. The food on the other hand was not authentic, and not really a reason to go back. Overdoing the Lederhosen stereotype just a tad.

A great place to go and try some schnitzel and drink some beer. My first time was during a "First Friday" in Downtown Bryan. I think that the best time to go there with family and friends since there will be live music. Try Heaven and Hell schnitzel with Pork and a Russ

Been back from Germany for about two years and this was the best schnitzel I have had. Recommend Monday visits as it is all you can eat schnitzels. Didn't disappoint at all. Went with the mushroom gravy for the first round. Okay but not great. Went naked with lemon for the second. Much better. Pommes were good as well. Beer... More

My mom and I stopped in to see if the cuisine could compare to what we used to eat in Germany. My mom had the jägerschnitzel and loved it. I had pork with gravy and want very impressed. Our server, however, barely checked on us and seemed preoccupied with her friends. Yes to the food, no to the wait staff.
