At 10.99 for a half pound of sliced brisket Al's is more expensive than the world renowned Franklin's in Austin. Hard to see anyone in Big Spring standing in line for this near tasteless treat. Ribs were very good however. 33 bucks for a two meat plate and a sandwich.

What else do you need to know? Had the pulled pork sandwich with side of some creamy potato salad and both were very good. You order "cafe style" so all the food is visible and you can pick and choose based on your likes and their presentation style. Very friendly staff and good location only a mile or so from... More

I can't imagine anyone that does not like Al's. It is, without any doubt, my favorite place to eat in Big Spring, TX. Country cooking (like I grew up on) at its finest. It is just a little more expensive, but worth every penny.

Al's offers the best BBQ in Texas. Their mouth watering brisket, ribs, sausage. Ham. Chicken, and even hamburgers are delicious. While Al's is a little pricey it's worth every penny. Don't pass thru Big Spring without trying Al's.

My friend and I were so hungry and were traveling from a long road trip. BBQ sounded so delicious. The brisket was dry but had good flavor, the sauce was okay. The sides were HORRIBLE. The finely mashed cold potatoes were inedible due to over salting. I was just bad with the side dishes. The service was friendly and helpful... More

Growing up in Big Spring, you become a 1 BBQ joint family. We are an Al's BBQ loyalist. I've eaten in more than 30 of the Texas 50 Best BBQ joints. Ranks right up there. We had a Class Reunion BBQ and I brought the Potato Salad--it is a must--You won't taste any better than this.

The grease from the barbeque sandwich soaks the bread! Had a wonderful time in the loo. Constipation is no longer a problem. Wait staff are below standards and unconcerned whether you stay or leave.

Overpriced, low quality food. Place is a dump. It's a waste of money. Staff was okay. Food was cold and meat was dry.

Delicious meats and sides, including ice cream. Good service and a traditional BBQ experience in west texas. Thank you.
