This was our second time dining here while visiting Nashville but this time we had our 3 kids with us - 14, 11 and 6. It's a pricey evening and you don't see many kids in the restaurant but everyone was so nice, especially our...More

Went to The Southern while in Nashville for a baseball tournament. The halibut and sweet potato grits were amazing. Everyone in our dinner party loved their food. Waitress was very helpful & attentive.

This is a place that strikes me as offering what a non-southern person might have in their brain about what southern cuisine looks like. It was all okay, but nothing was exceptional. Service was not particularly attentive or good, the noise levels were quite high,...More

People at the table had the chicken and waffles and all three raved about it - I had a very dry fried egg sandwich - no butter on the bread at all. It gets a four because they loved it, it didn't get a 5...More

This is one of my favorites in Nashville. The oysters are always fresh and service has always been good. The steaks are great and it's a fun atmosphere.

Stopped in with the family for lunch yesterday. I've been to NOLA many times and still believe it to be the best, most diverse food in the country, especially when seafood comes into play. Needless to say, when I saw this place, I was intrigued,...More

My wife ordered the southern wedge and it was disappointing. Her wedge was small and toppings were skimpy. I had the new south caesar and it was very good and plentiful. She had the fried chicken entree. It was tasty but you would not expect...More

Certainly wouldn't hurt. That said, we went 30 minutes earlier than our reservation, got right in on a weekend. It's a huge place.
