Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The selection of chicken parmigianas available is always impressive. 16 I believe. For my most recent visit I opted for the “hot chilli Parma”. It only took one pint of beer to be delivered to our table, I’ll add, it was the first beer of...the day. At $26 it represented great value in comparison to current prices, especially true when you consider the extra ingredients. The sauce and jalapeños provided the perfect amount of kick, enough to need another pint of beer, while still allowing the meal to be finished without a break. (Or asking for a pint of milk). Yes the majority of the chips are underneath the chicken, ( I typically don’t deduct points for this) I still could not fault the quality of the chips. Could the meal have been slightly bigger, probably, although that would compromise the ease and efficiency of beer intake. Perfect size if you’re planning on 4- 5+ pints, I could of eaten more if just having the 1. With that said, I have never left here hungry or unsatisfied by my experience. The beer is also top notch. Crisp, cold and served quickly. Most all thr current staff are helpful, friendly and not condescending.More

We were looking for a good place for lunch, on our way to my old work place in Powell Town. Drove past and noticed Cunningham's, it looked interesting and thought we would try our luck - Best decision we have made in a long time...for a meal. We have been very disappointed in the past with some venues but this one was spot on. We had Calamari for entree (one serve was enough for 2), fish for one main and lambs fry for the other main. The serves were very generous, even though they were seniors sizes, my partner is fussy about the Calamari but these were spot on, as was the rest of the meal. No complaints about the service - it was great, very accommodating and friendly. The Guinness on tap was perfect.More

Went there yesterday with a busload of people 33 of us.Staff were happy friendly service was great.Rhonda made sure people knew where toilets were .and told them the best way to order their meals. It worked out really well. Meals were a good size and they...came out fairly fast. They have a good size menu and seniors menu as well.Good choice of food to choose from. The hotel isnt fancy but has a great atmosphere. Inside or outside seating. We choose outside it was hot but we were kept cool under the umbrellas. Nice country pub it says Irish pub. It looks old with some renos been done but great to sit down relax have a drink and enjoy the country fresh air. Well worth a visit if you are in the area or out for a nice day trip. Thank you guys everyone commented on your meals and the staff Not one complaint We will be back for sureMore

Staying at a rural Airbnb googled local eateries and this hotel came up so decided to try it. It was a like daunting to enter this country hotel/pub which had locals standing outside & inside was packed but I’m so pleased we did. The welcome...was amazing. I’ve heard of a content welcome but never experienced it. The service was outstanding & so friendly…. The 3 waitresses kept checking on us & topping up drinks. We were guided to a choice of tables and provided with an extensive menu. I chose the homemade chicken Kiev and my son chose a fillet steak…. Cheesy garlic bread as an entree. Several beers on tap including Guinness which was served beautifully chilled. The meals were huge, well presented and so yummy. Plan on going back before we leave this areaMore

$7 for a cup of water with bubbles and an unhappy wife after the blonde lady wearing short shorts was too close for comfort. Prices gone up but uniform gone down??? Felt more like hooters than a family friendly pub.

Cunninghams has such a relaxed and friendly feel. The menu is HUGE and portions are what you would expect from a country pub (large and tasty). The owner supplied blankets for those sitting outside, open fires inside making it very cosy. There was a great...band playing on the veranda. An enjoyable Sunday was had .More

Our experience was similar to other reviewers; the customer service skills of the lady in charge are appalling. No need to go into detail other than to confirm what previous reviewers have stated. The business is up for sale - a big notice board out...the front - so hopefully that will lead to an improvement. The serving staff was mainly young people and, although appearing relatively inexperienced, tried to do their best. The extensive menu is mainly "pub grub" featuring the traditional Aussie parma. Cunningham's has so much potential and, hopefully, that will be achieved with the forthcoming sale. The pub is an easy drive from Melbourne (via Lilydale or Mount Evelyn) and the 683 bus to Warburton passes close by.More

The woman that owns this place goes out of her way to dominate and insult. Calling someone ‘madam’ afterwards and a fake professional voice doesn’t cut it. Sell it if you are unhappy.

Stopped in here about 4pm in the afternoon wanting to have a drink in the sun before a long drive home When we walked in the bar lady was incredibly rude from the get go, when we asked if we would be able to grab...a table for 6, she rudely shot us down “NO, the kitchen doesn’t open until 6 and we are fully booked” while rolling her eyes at us We asked if it was possible to just get a table as we were only after 1 round of drinks to break up a drive.. ‘yeah I suppose, sit out there, but we don’t come to you so come back when you figure it out’ When we came in to order our drinks to more eye rolls “you can’t just buy 1 drink the EFT minimum is $10 so figure out who needs to pay’ It was a shame as we were looking for a country pub feel to have a drink in the sun, the place looks like it has so much potential, unfortunately extremely rude customers service ruined this experience for usMore

First time visitor to this quaint true to form country pub. Sure, it's only 25 minutes or so from Lilydale, however it could have been just down the road from Timbuctoo. Yep. Great country folk, a bunch of cheerful locals and a great outdoor entertainment.../ eating area where you can watch the sunset while enjoying a pint of White Rabbit. I ordered a Chicken B.L.A.T. and I have to say it was simply delish. Like truly awesome! The av was great, the chunky chicken delectable, the topping perfect. Mate, it was truly wicked. Wifey went with a seniors parmy, and once again there were no complaints. Making matters even better was how we managed to get through din dins without seeing (or hearing) a mozzie. See, they normally love eating wifey. Bottom line; if you're in the area, interested in a quality meal at a decent price. Drop by, you just may be surprised.More

After a failed attempt at a dinner booking nearby, we came here. The staff were sooo welcoming, entertaining and just all round great. The food was good country pub food, the place was full and lively. Really recommend it.
