What a pleasant surprise. We had a 1.15 lunch booking. Very few empty tables but we were served quickly….how do they do that?
We chose the ‘to share’ menu which has great variety and flavour. All of the groups I saw leaving were carrying take away containers of delicious food.
Great value for money was a further bonus.

What a great find! The shared lunch is superb. A lot of absolutely delicious food, but not too much. Shoulder of lamb is scrumptious. Not one dish was less than scrumptious. Be aware that the pizza course is one between two, so you have to negotiate. Not a big deal, but get ready! And don't ask for a taster of a wine by the glass unless you're prepared to pay $3 for a splash in the bottom of a glass. We weren't warned there would be a charge and it was a bit annoying. Not terminal. - just annoying, esp as we went on to buy a bottle of it! Otherwise the service was excellent. We will be back.

Had not been to the Zonzo since just after the Traintrack evolved into Zonzo Estate. eg quite a few years. Booked ad hoc on a Sunday afternoon and the lady on the phone was most helpful. We got an outside table on a cool but comfortable afternoon and the Zonzo was chockers with a motorcycle 'convention' and a wedding party (maybe 2) in addition to us 'pedestrians' not associated with either. Had a bottle of their cab sav that was a bit overpriced (comparatively with long and wide personal experiences) but excellent so written off as a tip to the 'owner'. The wait staff were very friendly, attentive, and responsive but the system was disorganised informing them what went to which table but they got it done. 3 pizzas, meatballs, a calzone, and coffees were all excellent and while not budget priced it was good value for money - eg yum. The biggest problem on the afternoon was their car park was 100% full and with narrow spaces between rows (I think one SUV may have gotten trapped trying to navigate through it!) with nowhere obvious to park; were told we could park on the verge along the exit road, a short walk. With a bit better coordination between orders and where they went in the hands of the servers it would have been a solid 5. All in all an enjoyable stop. The car park problem might have been a one off due to the crowd of the day, but something management should consider, eg lines in the car park and adding 'overflow' signage (we rang from the car to ask).

The last time we came here we had a great experience. This time everything had changed. The set menu changed from delicious roast potatoes to one small bowl of chips, choose 2 salads had changed to one salad consisting of lettuce and 2 slices of radish.
Then we witnessed a staff member pouring wine from one bottle to another! We couldn’t believe our eyes. We also saw a staff member sitting on the bench/table so unprofessional.
We had a lovely waitress, however considering there was more staff than patrons we were extremely disappointed! We won’t be coming back.

A really amazing venue of vineyards, indoor and outdoor restaurants and would be superb as a wedding or other venue although the updates seem to have come at the expense of the food quality. The service is still good, maybe better than before but is let down by the factory type food quality. Started with a 6 person antipasto (for the 4 of us). We all had a main and a dessert of tiramisu. The 2 ladies shared a bottle of white, my brother had a single glass of red and I had a carafe of Diet Coke. The antipasto was of fair quality but certainly not enough to suit 6 people as the 4 of us devoured it quickly. My wife had a pasta dish that she found extremely disappointing, I had the worst pizza for quite a while whilst my brother and his wife seemed to enjoy their gnocchi. Good tiramisu. We had 2 gift vouchers totaling $200 but still needed to pay $128 extra for our luncheon - ridiculous. Nice venue but very average food at prices that do not match the overall quality. Would not go here again.

We attended a wedding.
Car parking space was sufficient for the 138 attendees. The closest public transport is c. three kilometres away at Yarra Glen.
The chapel lacked a Cross or any other Christian feature, yet the attendees were mostly non-Catholic Christians with some Catholics.
We had drinks outside where it was chilly, until beckoned in eventually for the wedding feast.
Given the couple paid $220 a head, the food was only fair. Appetisers were good quality. A pizza was nice but pulled pork or similar was quickly cold.
The grounds are attractive, featuring a small lake. There were largely European trees not our wonderful Australian natives, so a desert for local birds and other creatures. I'm not in France (though was recently) so why try to replicate it or Italy?
Staff were hardworking and pleasant but goodness, A$220 a head is outrageous for what was on offer.

Awesome! Book the lunch menu, but make sure you go when really hungry.
We had a charcuterie to start, then 2 pizzas, the the most delicious roast lamb served on a bed of minted peas, roast potatoes, green salad, washed down with a glass or two of their shiraz pinot noir. There is no room for pudding!!!!

We were looking for somewhere not to far out of Melbourne to celebrate a midweek birthday. Zonzo looked great on paper, but nothing could be further than the truth. There was no menu choice available for a booking of six - it was feast menu or nothing! On booking we were advised to pay $55 pp or no booking.
We were seated at a long table for 10 with 3 other diners. There were other tables available but these were predominantly empty. The staff were constantly leaving the doors open as they transferred food to the venue opposite - result was flies everywhere and we were inside! Obviously, no insect control! Added to that it was a very hot day so we endured gusts of hot air trying to compete with the air conditioning.
Serving sizes were questionable. We received the same size antipasto plate for six as the guests sharing our table for 3. When we complained when we were ordering pizza that we should have asked for more! All together, from booking to being served our meals, it was a less than enjoyable meal. Absolutely at $55.00 a total waste of money. But, they do provide take away containers 🤣

Beautiful spaces and extraordinary surroundings made us feel like we were living a wonderful life. However the rushed service made us feel like we were on borrowed time. The banquet courses were brought out too quickly. Nothing worse than been given your main meal when you were still in the middle of your entree. Staff need to know that patrons can still savour and enjoy their experience in a 2 hour sit... not 1 hour.

Zonzo’s.. what can I say the food is fabulous..and quite well priced.. we had the $55 set menu and there was plenty of courses and quality tasty food. Started with an antipasto board, moved onto a round of pizzas and followed on with the slow cooked lamb, roast potatoes and tomato salad, we finished off with a tiramisu to share and coffees. I cannot comment on the wine.. (as I am a non drinker) .. however there were no complaints, so assumed all was to their satisfaction. The venue is stunning with gorgeous views over the vines and beyond. The dining room is rustic and definitely family style (no fuss or worry about making a mess).. and unfortunately with that comes a noise level that might not be acceptable to all. Our waitress Lani was an absolute delight, attentive and professional and nothing was to much trouble.. a wonderful smiling asset to this business.

Our daughter had her wedding at Zonzo Estate. It was joyous occasion; nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The food was ample. Following the entrée, we had pizza, we had roast lamb specially reared for occasion. The estate's own produced red wine, which accompanied the wedding breakfast, was delightful. In all, it is an occasion we will all remember for many years to come.

My partner said the slow cooked lamb was surprisingly good as was the entree board. Staff are delightful. Yet this was a formulaic experience where diners share tables and pay a premium for a sub-optimal menu. Despite the lovely, hardworking staff, there are many more offerings out there.

We were fortunate to have master chef Shane Delia working in conjunction with the staff at Zonzo Estate to plan our menu. We had seafood for starters, with cocktails, followed by pizza. The main course was slow cooked roast lamb, with roasted root vegetables; it was delicious, accompanied by estate-grown red wine. We must congratulate Chef Shane and the crew at Zonzo for providing a truly memorable meal.

Food was nice.
Experience was let down by the service though, ithink the restaurant was significantly understaffed for the number of customers there were at lunch. The management are letting the property down, a higher staff to customer ratio would lead to a higher sales (we weren’t asked at all if we wanted more drinks, or wanted dessert) and would also lead to repeat customers (we won’t be back).
The other let down was the volume in the restaurant. The space echoes and reflects back noise. We had to ask to be moved as we couldn’t hear each other.

Everything about Zonzo was just right, plenty of parking and an easy walk to the restaurant, the vista was fantastic. Service was very good, attentive, but not over bearing.
We had the antipasto plate to start, a tad small for $30, but what was there was extremely good. The mains were served in a timely manner, two had the lamb shoulder, one the calzone and 4th the ravioli. Each of the meals was of very generous portion, in fact each took home part of their meal. The meals were very flavorism and tasty, really enjoyed.
wine list was a tad limited, but what we had was great.
