Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food was dreadful. First the waiter told me I couldn’t have eggs because I have too many allergies WOW!! Their menu states about 10 different allergies mmm well clearly not ! The manager had to come out to ask me more about my allergies and...said it was fine to have just eggs on gluten free toast with mushrooms ( my allergies are no milk/ gluten/fish/crustacean.) This is what I had already ordered! we eat out a great deal ! The waiter was so rude. Would never eat there again nor recommend anyone to eat there after such an appalling experience. My wife had fried eggs with bacon & avocado, the toast was a rock couldn’t even break it. The bacon was tough and reheated , my wife isn’t fussy and eats anything however not this!! Horrible food !! Staff need to be educated how to go about good customer service!More

Poor service. We were here at 9am. After an hour we still do not have our food. When we arrived there’s only 8 of us there. I followed it up and found out they lost our docket. Not good. Very disappointing.

In a nutshell, on a week end. Too many people. No one wearing masks. Chocolate very expensive. Five visits in five years is enough.

We visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery every time we visit the Yarra Valley. The hand-made chocolates are scrumptious and the ice-cream comes in great variety. There are lots of other things to taste. It's a place to indulge your taste-buds,

Well, it was mouth-watering! We were cooled off on this hot summer day after having scoops of Yarra valley Chocolatery Ice cream. Their chocolate flavours were extremely nice.

Extremely Disappointed. I’d fallen in love with the Turkish Delight ice cream a while ago. It was then the best ever. I got it plus another flavour, which was so lacking any flavour can’t remember what it was. The ice cream seemed to have only...lots of colour and that was about it. No Turkish delight in the pink ice cream. My friend had 1 sultana in her “rum and raisin”. We saw no “covid safety”, in place.More

Although the cafe was very busy, forgotten meal for our table ( and the one next to us) was very poor. When it finally arrived (more than half and hour) scones were very doughy and obviously not fresh. Overall very disappointing.

I went in the afternoon hoping for afternoon tea and a stroll in the shops and it was so busy that I left and went back the next day upon opening. There was no social distancing at all. I bought a selection of cakes to...take home, most of them were delicious. The shop was also much more pleasant to wonder around and make a purchase. The truffles are to die for and a must try. The staff were friendly and appreciative that I returned to make a purchase.More

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is a must for any locals in the South/East Suburbs and any tourists travelling this area. It is about an hours drive from the city. Since the Melbourne lockdown, the chocolaterie as done amazing renovations making the dining area more spacious....They do a chocolate making class for those under 12 years old - they even get to take home their creations as well as a apron and bakers hat. I absolutely love the assortment of native flavours of chocolate and even the international cocoa section of chocolates to take home are delicious. If you’re buying gifts here, they have gifts for everyone - I recommend buying the make at home brownie, there famous brownie is a must whilst you’re here. On warmer days the ice cream is just what you need - so many flavours to please everyone in the family. This is a great spot for families to spend lunch here, or friends after a wine tasting in the area. All the staff are so helpful and friendly. I believe they also opened up a chocolaterie on the great ocean road which is the exact same but on the other side of the city.More

We found this place just by driving by; we enjoyed a very tasty afternoon tea. The fondue for 2 was a great size to share, huge range of treats to dip into the chocolate of your choice. We loved the dark chocolate. The iced chocolate...drink we ordered was lacking some chocolate flavouring, but the vanilla bean ice cream in it was very yummy. The shop is defiantly worth a wander through. The samples of the chocolate bud flavours is a must too. We will definitely be back.More

A lovely selection of different sorts of chocolate. There is a window cut out in the shop so you can see them making the chocolate, its pretty interesting. A little ice creamery where you can purchase ice cream. Not somewhere were you can spend all...day but you can kill a few hours.More

Lovely and striking building overlooking gorgeous Yarra Valley farmland. The building itself is very modern, the staff are lovely and there is a wide variety of chocolates, sweets, teas, even personal care items. Highly recommended.
