Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fabulous little find! Visiting family and we all headed out for dinner! Extensive menu too many choices. We decided to have Indian trying the Goat Curry and Chicken Mesala! Omg delicious! Both were authentic, fresh and flavor some! Loved it Thankyou team

The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We sat by the open fire which was an added bonus on a cold night. Would recommend this restaurant.

We had a very good dinner experience here, with generous and tasty food, prompt service and a pleasant interaction with the chef. We were seated in an area that was perfect for a small group. Recommend.

When we go to a small town we are usually treated with kindness and hospitality. This is the best impression to ensure we stop there next time. We stopped in St Arnaud for lunch. We were going to try the Dancing Kelpie. My wife asked...where the toilets were. The answer was you can't use ours (part of the old hotel) unless you buy a drink. Otherwise go to the library at the end of town. When she went around the back the owner was standing there and ordered her away. We went to the opposition next door and had a brilliant lunch served by very friendly staff. A pity the impression left of St Arnaud was petty minded rudeness. A small act of kindness would have changed this.More

A very nice experience and an asset to St Arnaud. The staff were helpful and friendly particularly the young waitress!! The food was a mix as my Chicken Burger was excellent but my Brothers Open Souvlaki was just ok and the drinks were generous and...nice!! Well worth a visit for a mealMore

We were very impressed today when we visited the Dancing Kelpie Hotel - we actually only went in because it was one of the only places open. We were amazed with the lovely murals, cleanliness and the food was a real surprise! A nice one...at that! The staff were friendly, efficient and professional - a true delight to go there!More

We really enjoyed lunch here, food was amazing and staff friendly. We will drive back from Melbourne and make this the main point of the trip, just to have lunch or dinner here again! (and can't wait!) Thanks and keep up the great work.

We ordered 4 meals. The porterhouse was big and cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. The carbonara was deliciously creamy. The veggie risotto was so full of flavour and richly filling. The salmon was tender. The sides were awesome too! We will be back for...food like this. Very reasonable prices.More

Excellent service, meals were delicious, good value. One of my friends asked for something which wasn't on the menu & the chef was only too happy to cook up a different meal accommodating my friends request. When we booked our event staff also told us...of a local home baker - Donna - 0401347618 : @Sweetdonnalicious who created us an amazing bday cake, which was one of the best Black forest cakes I've ever tasted ..More

Four meals were eaten by our family. The service was welcoming. We ordered a steak sandwich, very tasty; fettuccini carbonara, also good value; goat curry which was very tasty and seafood"basket" which had a huge piece of fish and other tasty ingredients. Unfortunately, I waited...some time for the seafood and the chips served with two meals were too salty. Overall we would still recommend this venue. The coffee , whilst too hot, had excellent flavour.More
