Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must visit. Went with some mates who had not been there before for an afternoon out. All had a wonderful arvo with Keith running the Bar. Would have liked to stay for dinner; as so many great value meals on the Menu; but time...was against us. Dining area well set out and clean. They have budget accommodation units out the back. Free camping / caravanning for customers. Sometimes live entertainment. Have a good look around inside and out when you are there. Some very clever items on display. All of us loved the Pub, Keith and Rosie.More

This Pub is truly 'Australiana' plus. What is on display behind the Bar, and throughout the building is worth travelling to see. Proprietor and Barman Keith is a friendly, unique, fella. Likewise Rosie the Chef. My 3 mates and I did not stay for dinner,...though tempting with the value for money menu. Plenty of tables in dining area and big TV. They have budget accommodation units out the back. Free camping / caravanning for customers. Highly recommended.More

The pub in the scrub, they call it. Well it is that. I would suggest most people would just drive by and not visit. It looks like it could do with some work, but do yourselves a favour. Call in and have a beer with...Keith or father. The best hosts around. A large group of us ending staying the night in the very clean and comfortable accomodation out the back. Meals were also excellent and very well priced. This pub just oozes character, from the building to the decor to the publicans. Give it a go. The locals we spoke to have a ritual, they can't drive past without calling in to say g'day. I can see why.More

Not far from the well-beaten trails of Central Victoria's goldfields region, a thirsty traveller will stumble across an absolute nugget -- "the Aussie pub in the scrub" sitting on the crossroads at Logan (population 15, according to Wikipedia.) It's the only building there, a 100-or-so-year-old...establishment packed with an assortment of pub memorabilia and quirky contraptions like the Irish dog carrier or a pair of Japanese workboots that look suspiciously like an old pair of thongs with steel toecaps. It's what you call a pub with character -- and characters. Like Bloody Keith, the publican who's been running the show for 14 years. He'll entertain you with local legends and tall stories. Or have a serious yarn about Aussie art or veteran motorbikes. The day I dropped in, three hard-case blokes called Mallee Boy, The Gristle and a Kiwi called Rowdy were well ensconced in the tiny shoebox-sized bar. There's always room for one or two more, such is the genuine country hospitality. The beer's good and they'll whack you up a steak or a chicken parmagiana for lunch, no worries. You can stay the night in a room or pitch a tent in the paddock behind. You'll find the Logan pub on the Wimmera Highway, a couple of hours from Melbourne, in between Wedderburn and St Arnaud, just where the scrub-covered flat lands of the Mallee region begins.More
