We only discovered this place recently. Tucked away behind the main street in the RSL, this place is open to everyone. The ambiance is delightful, the service is excellent and the food was delicious. Each dish tastes freshly cooked and is full of crisp, not soggy, vegetables. We ordered coconut rice and I could have enjoyed eating just that. The serves are huge but there was plenty for everyone and we didn't feel the need to overorder. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a pleasant meal at reasonable prices.

Dinner for parents, 3 kids and grandparents 7 all up. Well being within the RSL we were a bit skeptical how good an actual Thai restaurant it could be, but we were totally blown away. Prada is the hostess with mostess a character as soon as you arrive. The key here is the food it was quite beautiful with bold flavors. It really was exceptional food and service. A shout out yo Denise behind the bar great service and the kids loved her.

Absolutely delicious. What an incredible dinner we had at Sorrento Thai. Who ever the chef is, knows flavours and the balance of Thai food And the staff are friendly and what to please

This restaurant is tucked away in the RSL off the Main Street but luckily we found it. The proprietor was very friendly and attentive and judging by the hugs she gave a few other people she had a lot of regulars. Our meals were delicious and we purchased our drinks from the RSL. Would definitely recommend.

We had a good family dinner at this place. The coconut rice was so delicious. The deep fried barramundi was really good. We also ordered red curry roast duck and green curry beef. For me, the food was good but just a bit on the sweet side.

Went to this restaurant not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Flavours were good, portion size good and very fresh. The place had a nice atmosphere and staff were helpful. A very pleasant evening.

The food was excellent very authentic -- the staff members were very friendly. Drinks were @ RSL prices and a reasonable selection. Can not fault the place highly recommend for a reasonable night out.

Although most Thai restaurants here are more expensive than some others, they do make a very nice change. This one is probably a little more expensive than our local ones in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne, but then The Mornington Peninsular area is an expensive area, anyway.
Forgetting the price, our meals went down a treat. Neither of us could in any way, shape or form fault our meals. When I phoned to place our order, I was told roughly how long the meal would take to be ready. Upon arrival, the meal was just not quite ready. Only by a minute or so, meaning that there was no reason to believe our meal took an unusually long time to be ready. The staff were friendly, even placing a small handful of sweets into the bag with our meal.
All in all, a great experience.

Very friendly staff, very nice place inside and just great dishes. The Tom kha soup with vegetables is to die for, just amazing. The tofu puffs also great. A must in Sorrento.

The brother and sister in-law had heard about this place and while visiting the peninsula we headed off to check it out. Its in the local RSL so doesn’t look too flash from the outside. Inside is nicely decked out Thai style. You grab bevvies from the bar in the RSL next door and the barman was friendly. A plethora of dishes were ordered... can’t quite remember them all but we had the standard green chicken etc. We had a chilli prawn dish. Overall impression was that the food was decent but the servings were really on the smaller side. Fish cakes were oily...10 year old son wasn’t impressed with the curry puffs which he reckoned were frozen. Large rice was meagre. Can’t stand when restaurants try and value add by stinging you for rice which costs bugger all. Boss lady was a character though... up for a chat! 3 stars.

This is a hidden gem attached to the RSL. It is very popular with the locals and you can appreciate why when you visit. Menu is extensive and food is always fresh and good. Drinks are purchased at the adjoining RSL bar at unbelievable low prices. This is a family restaurant and represents great value for money. Been there about 10times now. Sunday’s you can listen to live music in the bar until 7 pm usually rock and roll bands including Wendy Stapleton at times., and eat at the restaurant. Good fun.
