It's unusual these days to eat fresh Australian fish, straight out of the sea. The San Remo Fisherman's Co-Op serves fresh fish and chips. The fish is caught in the morning, you eat it for lunch. You can't get fresher than that.

Sorry to say, but terrible quality. Maybe the worst chips I’ve ever had. Great location but terrible quality fish and chips

Great service, great selection of Fresh Seafood that you can also enjoy cooked in the Fish n Chip section. It’s great to actually be able to eat fish that you can be confident that what you are buying is what you are eating. All Sustainability...Harvested by Commercial Fishers on behalf of people like me who have no desire or ability to catch it myself. Thanks for supplying the community resource.More

The fish was fresh and delicious but the chips and potato cakes were awful. They were the worst chips and potato cakes we have ever had. Our table wasn't cleaned so we had to clean it ourselves and they didn't have the Vic gov check...in app just pen & paper check in.More

Got the family pack today and wat a disaster it was. EVERYTHING In the box was frozen, tasteless and mushy. That was just the seafood! The chips were tasteless and soggy, not an ounce of seasoning on anything. U have a prime location and FRESH...seafood at ur door, but u choose to give people frozen crap. U should be ashamed, I would be if I served that s#*$. Especially when ur charging $44!! Pull ur heads in or change occupation. UselessMore

good prices, and very fresh fish. Fish and chips were cooked beautifully, and I loved the little bits of information about the co-op and the old pictures. Can sit indoors or outdoors, overlooking the bridge and jetty.

stopped here and purchased a fish burger, potato cakes and a hamburger. The first two were very nice but the hamburger was terrible. I have no idea what was in it because although it appeared cooked, it was soft and squishy and tasted terrible and...it ruined the mealMore

Hi Grumpy, Thanks for your review - glad you enjoyed our fish burger and potato cakes, but very sorry the beef burger wasn’t to your liking. We do hope to see you again soon.

We hadn’t planned to eat here, we had many times before, but Thursday lunch before Easter, why not. Got a table overlooking the jetty on a beautiful day, nice piece of fish, chips and a few calamari rings. Not out of this world food, but...at the end of the day it’s fish and chips, and they met the brief.More

Good timing Pauley - clever move visiting just before the Easter crowds arrived :)

I am no stranger to fishermans coops and a good fish and chips. Service was fast on this mid week day. We were given an electronic buzzer so we could walk down the jetty while waiting. Price was reasonable, around $25 for 2 fish (...selection of fish) chips, potato cakes, one soft drink and sauce. ( Sauce was missing from order and as we drove a little way to a different table we had to do without). We chose to drive a hundred yards or so along the beachfront to a table with a lovely view of the water. Very sunny and not too windy. suggest you remember a hat and sunglasses, even later in the afternoon, early evening. Despite the missing sauce would highly recommend. Very good quality. Very fresh fish. Fish maybe just a touch greasy but still very good. Lemon supplied.More

Thanks for your review Margaret :) Great to hear you enjoyed your fish & chips and found a good spot to enjoy them too. Very sorry we missed your sauce though.

Classic fish and chips, battered scallops on a sunny Sunday, gently fanned by the sea breeze. Busy but well organized - only issue - minimum order of fresh oysters - one dozen.
