A warm and comfortable cafe/restaurant. With an open fireplace and candlelit tables plus a lovely sunny courtyard for the warmer months. Dudley's serves a delicious breakfast selection 7 days a week, and is also open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Amazing service and food! 11/10!!

My partner and I drive past this restaurant all the time and finally decided to stop in for dinner. Walking in we were immediately greeted warmly by a lovely young man (who’s name I forgot to ask for, bummer!) My partner had one of their amazing wood fried pizzas and it was so full of flavour, my simple Caesar salad was to die for!! Fresh and crispy ingredients and such fast service - I simply cannot fault this place! Josie was especially exceptional and always made sure we had everything we needed, she has such a warm and friendly personality it made our experience so much nicer. Thanks Josie!! We can’t wait to visit again and make this our new regular place for date night. Will recommend to all our friends and family! ☺️

Very nice dinner

We were spending 2 days in Olinda and wanted somewhere close by for dinner so we could walk there; some places were closed Monday and Tuesday. We had booked in advance, always advisable under the current Covid restrictions, and chose a table outside. Contrary to another recent review we found the staff very helpful and attentive. Our good sized salmon meals arrived within 15 minutes of being ordered, were well cooked and tasty.

Great place, great staff and well priced meals

A friend recommended this place and we weren’t disappointed, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal on a summer day. We visited during the Australia Day long weekend, and although it was busy, the staff were welcoming, were able to answer all our questions about the menu and the food was served promptly. Surprisingly big selection of beers and wines available. Shoutout to the in house barista - he made the best coffee we’ve had in a while. If you’re in Olinda this place is well worth a visit.

The food overall is actually not bad, but the customer service is definitely atrocious. We told the waitress that the Babaganoush had a burnt taste and she started arguing and made a lot of sarcastic remarks. We had a few kids at the table and we ordered kids meals, but when the food came, it was all adults sizes. The waitress puts the blame on us for not telling her. The money that you pay is definitely not worth this sort of service.

Lying to customers and won’t take bookings

I’ and my family been a regular to Dudleys for several years. However when I tried to book in the early morning for 1.15 for lunch, they said they won’t take bookings for after 12noon! ( a new policy!) When we got there there was a queue very long and they were telling people that the other cafes had no tables either..... So I went to Ranges Cage a 100 meters away and they gave me a table for five immediately. Dudleys staff had been Lying and fooled people into waiting in long queues outside their cafe!!!! What a disappointment from Dudleys after we patronised for so long for all things cafe from coffee and cake, to family get togethers for so long😢 Ps they did say Henry the Eighth a drive up the road had tables—— are they owned by Dudleys too!!!

Thanks Christine for your past patronage to Dudley’s. Our policy with booking on weekends and public holidays hasn’t changed in the past 3 years and as you can understand, with reduced dining options in the area, it adds increased pressure on our local kitchen staff and local waiting team. We sincerely hope you enjoy dining at other places in the future.

A very overpriced oil fest

A casual feed with nice surroundings and nice staff however the food was less than average. For an entree we got the herb focaccia which was basically just crap pizza with a crap ton of salt and oil. I got the spaghetti marinara and it was incredibly oily and pretty much tasteless, I didn’t even finish half of it. My boyfriend got the onion rings and margarita pizza. The onion rings were good but had bucketloads of salt and the pizza was once again tasteless and oily. Overall, I would not go back as the food was awful for the price and bucket loads of oil was used on absolutely everything. The staff were nice though and the sitting outside in the sun was pleasant.

Extremely bad costomer service

We were a group of friends that arrive there at 5 pm. While the restaurant was open and there were many tables available in the outside area, the staff did not let us sit in the outside area. We were told we should order take-away. As we could not change the place of our cars in that busy area and we were hungry, we ordered take away and sit outside the restaurant to eat the pizzas. They should be ashamed of their behaviour. Our friends found the staff behaviour was rude and racist. They talk loud and forcefully guided us to the outside of the restaurant. I will never go back there and never forget their unfriendly and rude behaviour.

Hard times but this was too bad

I’m reluctant to write a bad review given the problems the hospitality sector has at present but our Father’s Day lunch caused me to change my mind. It started when the FOH staff couldn’t work the computerised booking system and had to find the handwritten paper copy. Order taking was slow, haphazard but cheerful. The menu was a pre-publishe limited 2/3 course fixed price affair. Entrees eventually arrived and ranged from meh to acceptable. After a long wait, dessert was brought to the table … but we hadn’t had our main courses. These were finally served 90 minutes after our arrival. 3 steaks, all ordered m/r were in varying stages of cooking. The veal cotoletta,that had morphed into beef cotoletta between booking and arrival, was tough and dry. Maybe the poor beast died of natural causes! Drinks service was slow, table clearing was haphazard, change of cutlery between courses consisted of a handful of cutler and a pile of paper napkins being dumped in the middle of the table. For an occasion when the place was booked out, with a restricted menu and hence no surprises for the establishment, the delivery was woeful. Despite their obvious inexperience, the staff were uniformly cheerful and wished us all a happy Father’s Day. It could have been much happier.

Dinner great, pizzas, pastas and dips. Breakfast lovely. Even teacups were warm when brought to the table and locally made raspberry jam was extremely good. Staff were pleasant, hardworking and very capable. Attention to detail is impressive.

Chicken and basil pesto gnocchi was horrible. The gnocchi itself was fine, but the sauce was overly creamy, no pesto flavour. But the BIGGEST problem was the chicken. All pieces were the gristly cutoffs (the kind you'd throw away if cooking yourself) and not one piece tasted cooked properly. I truly think it was microwaved chicken, and it literally made me gag, and felt sick after. So so so disappointed, as had been here a few years ago and it was delicious. Never again.

Nice surprise with the family

We called in at Dudley's in the mountain village of Olinda where we stopped for a lunch with the family... it had a nice buzz to the place. We were taken to our table within five minutes of arriving. Throughout the meal we had excellent service with a smile, the food was delicious and all in all good value and despite being busy we received our meals in good time. Would highly recommend this venue for excellent service with good value meals.

Wow, have to give it to the staff at Dudley’s. We have been there a bit but today we saw it all. Whilst patiently waiting for a table cause they were flat out busy, a lady got abusive to not only the young staff but the manager, trying to bully herself a table. She was even racist towards customers already seated based on their origin mentioning coronaviris. Well done Dudley’s. We got our table and commend you on professionalism.

Very nice spot with good food and good customer service. They had the Salmon on special and it was amazing. Chicken Parma was good too but not the best I've ever had. For dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee and it was the downside of the menu, it was nothing like a Creme Brulee :(

We ordered the mezze platter for entree, souvlaki for dinner. We hoped the platter would have a range of great little treats but the saganaki was rock hard, toasted breads cold, everything else pretty ordinary, none of it high quality or showing any care. Also it arrived at exactly the same time as the mains, which was weird. Then the souvlaki wraps were hard, showing they were cooked a while previously and reheated. Service was friendly enough but we won’t be going back.

I visited Dudley’s restaurant on Sunday 20th Feb, and I was so impressed both with the food and the service. We arrived with our friends for lunch, we hadnt thought to book, silly if us really!! But we got lucky! It was a hot day and Olinda was buzzing, people everywhere!! We were greeted with a smile upon entering and asked to provide our vaccination certificates, of course, and we happily obliged. We were sat outside, given menus and water immediately by a lovely waitress. With an amazing menu and specials board there was something for everyone. Drinks followed food and we had a beautiful lunch. The restaurant soon filled up with people queuing up to get in and we unfortunately witnessed the staff having to contend with some very difficult customers 🥲, however, they dealt with each incident so professionally , well done Dudley’s Team 🙏
