Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is a real gem. You get to have a walk around the beautiful gardens and then finish off at the café. The food is fabulous with a fairly okay selection. The prices aren't too crazy either. You can check out the current menu on their website before you go so you get an idea of what's in season and being served.
Great place, great food, lovely staff. Will keep coming back here time and again.

We had a wonderful breakfast here and the coffee was good! Breakfast was generous serves and delicious - cooked fresh! Atmosphere was quiet as long as the kitchen is not too busy!

After touring the garden we needed a cool drink and rest. We sat outside and the waiter took our orders quickly. We ordered ice coffees and a cheese cake with ice cream.
Was delicious, inside the restaurant was great with larger menus.

Decent food, nothing spectacular. Small servings and a little on bland side. However, the gardens view was nice and took focus of average food. Very busy, but that is because of nice gardens and ample parking so people grab a quick bite while moving on. Nothing spectacular to come back to.

Prior to taking a walk in the gardens, we visited the café for a great cake – best Bakewell Tart ever and decent coffee, really happy and friendly staff on a really busy day who seem to want to be there! Go team! We were seated near the window which afforded enviable views over the steep garden slopes. All up a very enjoyable visit.

this place is such a little treat I have only been here twice because it gets so busy and I can see why because the food is really good, although a bit pricy it is worth it, beautiful surroundings in the middle of the nursery, lots of beautiful plants and flowers to see through every window.

We were so pleased to at last meander around Cloudehill that we - didn't realise it at the time - thought that the restaurant would be fabulous. It isn't. It's pretty basic. The food is good and that is probably the most important thing to remember. There is not much seating outside although the inside is good. However, for us old dears, after an hour and more of wandering around, a quiet sit inside would have been very welcome. As it was, we were outside with a bunch of boisterous young adults.

Situated at Olinda in the Dandenongs, this place offers a quiet, relaxing venue to sit and enjoy the area. Attached to the Cloudhill Nursery, for those garden fanicers there are plenty of plants and many other garden related items to peruse, and yes to buy. it's difficult to walk away without purchasing one or two items. Reasonable prices also makes it a very attractive shopping experience.

This is a step up from a cafe. Lovely main meals or share plates but not snack food.
Lovely coffee and deserts, if you are there for just an afternoon tea. Best to book but have been able to have afternoon tea without booking before.
I have been here many times over years, but it could be months between visits. It is always the same high standard.
It is located next door to Cloude Hill, so lovely to combine a stroll in the garden as well.
Thoroughly recommend.

Close to our home, love the food and the garden view is beautiful even in winter. Our elderly aunt enjoyed it last summer, so we hope to take her again soon (wheelchair accessible but talk to staff when you book)
Great too for lunch outside on a sunny day.

Chatterley's a great day out for young and old, with option of exploring the multiple private gardens, for a small gate fee. Enjoy the view on the restaurants window seats if you can book one. Service good but menu maybe a bit limiting, the vegetable tart is always popular, licensed and well worth it, a lovely devonshire tea at good value for money.

Dropped in for Mother's Day without a booking. They fitted us in and made us feel very welcome. Lovely atmosphere. Great meals and a pretty outlook. Would come here again.

We felt like the gardens were a mixture of 'The Secret Garden' and 'Alice in Wonderland'. It had an amazing amount of blossoming flowers and native birds, but most of all we liked the statues, and gateways to new areas, each one with a character of its own.

Take note that you have to now enter through a property called RANGEVIEW. One gets three gardens and nursary in one visit. Maniquered to perfection. You can also stay there if desire luxury. Great restaurant though may have to book at touristy times.

Now called "Seasons Restaurant at Cloudehill".
Great place for lunch with appropriate meal servings all for about $25, great views of the Yarra Valley, OK wine, family environment, next to the Gardens (fee applies).
This is just about the best place in Olinda - quality, value for money, great food and friendly staff. Its on the road Olinda to Monbulk and a must
