This used to be the best restaurant in the Dandenongs. The emphasis is on used to be! Visited on a Saturday night for an Anniversary Dinner. We could hardly find a car park as the nearby Kelly's crowd takes over the whole area - not really the restaurants fault. But that was nearly the highlight. Started off with the staff... More

I visited one rainy autumn night and was rewarded for traipsing through the mud by a beautiful meal presented by knowledgeable and friendly staff. I tried the wallaby shank and it was melt in the mouth. Definitely leave room for dessert! The menu advertises that the restaurant is happy to assist people with dietary requirements, which sets it apart for... More

We went for dinner. Unfortunately we were not very impressed. The atmosphere was lovely. Quiet and romantic - only a few other tables occupied. We felt quite rushed by the waitress throughout the evening. Our entree must have been pre- plated as they arrived in about 5 minutes - almost immediately followed by our mains which were cold and sadly... More

Recommended as one of the best cafe/restaurants so we just had to stop in. Food was delicious and refreshing with piping hot bread for the table provided with olive oil; and crushed salt for dipping.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with lunch at the Wild Oak last Sunday. The meal was truly excellent and the waiter was most attentive to our needs.

I found this place by asking people on my local Facebook page. I had a few places to choose from but liked the menu I had seen online. The place did not disappoint....... The place was empty besides a family with 3 children who were a little loud but didn't bother us too much as we had chosen a booth... More

Staff, polite and helpful, service a little slow but I have been to Wild Oak several times before and service has been good. Food very appropriate for Christmas in July 3 courses $40 plus wine. Roasted pork belly done a treat, Christmas pudding moist.and flavoursome.

Was close to where we were staying. Good choice of food. Two chose salmon which they said was great. I went for the kangaroo roast on confit. That was delish. The service was good. Worth visiting if you are around the area.

Food was excellent. Service was great. The only small fault was the airconditioning was not very cool.
