Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful experience. We went today and had delicious freshly made sandwiches. We had just been to a local pub who didn’t cater to our friend who was a vegetarian. All the sandwiches where so yum! Couldnt recommend this place more. Ps the cakes...are 100% fabulous too. The humans who served us where so friendly we will be back as our friends have moved in just around the corner.More

Love a smile and welcome when you enter a business, you would think it would be a given yet my experience is not so in many establishments. Deli Platter is always welcoming even when they are busy, shared tables are a great way to have...a conversation, you could meet an unknown local or someone from the other side ot the world.More

Trish and the team were so accommodating and the vegan cheese was yummy, the carrot and orange cakes, even the homemade tuna casserole looked like I could Hoover it. Definitely worth a stop IMHO xx

My friend chose The Deli Platter for breakfast to celebrate her birthday. Always a good choice. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Well worth the drive up into the hills.

The food, service and price at the Deli Platter never disappoints. We are locals and pop in every now and then when we don't feel like cooking. My hubby loves the Caveman breaky (remember to grab bread) and the staff always accommodate my vegan palate...which a delicious baguette or smashed avo. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the hills.More

I went here with a friend for her birthday and we were satisfied with the menu. I had the salmon cakes with some salad and tomato salsa and it was filling without being too much. Staff were warm and welcoming and prices reasonable.

We spent lunch at the Deli Platter on a drive through the Dandenongs and enjoyed the gourmet food on offer. The cheese selection was huge and the food was tasty, made on site and fresh. Friendly service and great coffee topped off the experience and...we couldn’t fault the place.More

I am not a big cook but i am definitely a big eater. I love how passionate they are about food and that makes me =know that i have found my happy place. There is never a time that i dont walk away with a...gorgeous home made soup or something special for dinner. i know its cooked with love because it tastes better than anything that i can cook up at 7pm without the love but a fit of panic before rushing to my next appt. Thanks for making life easier!!More

I am only giving this an average rating review because of the service. The baguettes were tasty and the coffee and hot chocolate were good. We saw diners eating cheese platters and it looked amazing and scrumptious. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Some staff members...seemed unenthusiastic when you asked about the menu and the service was painstakingly slow. We had to ask our table to be cleared of dishes from the previous customers and staff did not wipe the dirty tables down after they cleared away the dishes. We don't feel comfortable going back there and felt our custom was unappreciated. The poor service lets this place down because the food is very good.More

Terrible service. Waited 55 mins for our 3 meals all which consisted of heating things from the counter. My patti was so dry and with no flavour.

Had a beautiful board made up for us featuring cheeses and meats. Great coffee too. Lovely service - nothing was too much trouble. We also tried the scones which were absolutely delicious. Perfect late lunch after a long walk.

The wonderful, warm welcome we received on arrival at The Deli Platter took the chill right off the cold winter's afternoon. The yummy smells of "something cooking" certainly perked up our appetites. Choices at our table included delicious home made sausage rolls, a fabulous "big...breakfast" fit for a king, avocado smash with tangy goat's cheese and crispy bacon, lovely Thai pumpkin soup, and a really perfect vegetable tart. The display of luscious goodies to take away is extensive, and they have some wonderful cheeses on offer. They are very proud that most of their produce is locally sourced, and they cater for all sorts of dietary requirements. The serves were hearty and the ladies at The Deli Platter were so friendly and helpful, with lots of information on places around the area. The coffee was excellent, and our companion having the hot chocolate was on cloud 9. The Deli Platter is only a small space, so it's probably a good idea to book ahead. Can't wait to return.More
