Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Recently we purchased a takeaway 'birthday dinner' meal from Seasons. Roast pork and some pastries for dessert. Once reheated (in the oven for 20 min and under the griller for 2 min) it was extremely tasty and enjoyable, with a bottle of red from the family cellar. In fact the pork was as nice as one would often be served at a sit down restaurant or hotel. Well done Seasons!

After a wander around the gardens we had lunch at Season’s Restaurant and it was delicious. With four of us we tasted different dishes - swordfish, garlic chilli fettuccine, vegetarian tart and chicken pie, all were delicious. There was a good range of boutique beers and the wine was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant, make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

We came here on a cold rainy Monday in the school holidays and couldn’t have been happier. The menu is simple, with specials of the day for fish, the pie (in a bowl) and yummy vegetarian offering in addition to a couple of other burger like options. We had a yummy chicken pie and ocean trout with puréed turnip and green beans and both were just delicious. We couldn’t have asked for better food or service, and the setting is delightful.

Phoned from carpark before 12 noon to book a table for two for lunch, was advised a table was available. We entered the restaurant and spoke with a waitress advising that we booked from the carpark a few minutes earlier. She told us she would have to speak with the person that took the call confirming which table, he told her which table and in turn she showed us the table available (at this time there were many empty tables), it was a table for two beside the entrance door, there was a very cold wind blowing and the restaurant at this time was quite cool inside, as my daughter is of slight built and feels the cold we asked if there was another table available and was told no, BUT she could provide her with a blanket! As my daughter said when we left, a restaurant should be a comfortable temperature where a blanket is not required unless outside at a picnic. I have together with my husband and family dined at Cloude Hill on numerous occasions and always found it a good experience BUT I cannot say that today.

We decided to try this restaurant on 31 July 2021 at 1.15 pm. We followed all COVID-19 protocol and went into the restaurant counter and there was a bespectacled man in his 50s behind the counter and he did not respond or acknowledge us and so we flipped through the menu and decided to look if there’s available seat outside ( indoor seating is about half occupied), there were 4 tables available outside. We were standing at the restaurant entrance and the bespectacled waiter came out to served a table and when he was walking back into the restaurant, my wife politely asked him whether do we need to place our order at the counter,in an unfriendly tone he asked, “ ORDER WHAT!!!” We were taken aback by such foolish rude reply. My wife replied food. He asked without looking at us ,” any reservation?” . We said no and we were shocked when he reacted with a long sarcastic sigh and saying “uggh” and just continue to walk in without telling us anything. We observed that he continued to walk around and not bothered to entertain us, so we decided to leave. Even if a restaurant is busy, there’s no need to treat potential customers like how he did.( there are many tables available in and out) .We have been to dozens of eateries in Mt Dandenong over the last 20 years ,this is our first encounter with a racist and unintelligent hospitality employee!! It’s sad that clown is employed to serve in restaurant akin to having fool operating a flight control tower!!!

Booked for weekend lunch. Menu was extremely limited with no childrens menu. Orders taken quickly very pleasant staff but very slow delivery of food. Halfway through our meal the waitress asked if we were using all of our wine glasses. We stated no there were 2 spare. She then removed the glasses placed them on the service counter filled then and served them to another table.these glasses were in our sight at all times and were not processed prior to being given to another table.

We had lunch for three today, the weather was warm & sunny, we sat outside with views over the garden. Started with a pot of wet chai, which really hit the mark. We had a ploughmans lunch, vegetable slice & barramundi. Followed by orange cake & chocolate torte. Everything was absolutely Devine. Staff very friendly & helpful as well Definitely will return, when next in the area.

Set in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges the view from the restaurant is delightful. We had a very nice meal and the ambience and staff were great. Very nice place to have a meal. Great coffee into the bargain. The menu is quite good and the pie of the day is pretty delicious. Well worth a visit.

Wow, what a fabulous day at Cloudehill, 18th March, 2021. Having enjoyed a tasty lunch at the very busy restaurant (well done to the restaurant staff who were friendly, cool , calm and collected under enormous pressure ) we wandered into the gardens bathed in warm autumn sunshine. The leaves on some of the ornamental trees were just turning into autumn tones, so a visit in a few weeks time would be perfect to drink in the upcoming autumn splendor.

Called in for afternoon tea aftertouring the Cloudehill Gardens. We were greeted in one of the most friendly and cheerful manners possible. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the food was delicious.
