This country club might be small in comparison to those in the city or bigger country towns but it lacks nothing in service, outlook, quality food and friendly staff.
We ate here two nights in a row and were not disappointed either night by choice, quality or serving sizes. Great value for money.
Most impressive however is the view across the lake, especially at sunset. We were treated to two stunning sunsets that got better every minute as the sun descended in the west.
Recommend booking ahead during peak holiday or weekends.

It was a cold wet winters day in Nagambie, but it was warm inside as the fire was blazing away. Got or drinks from the bar, ordered food then waited and waited for food to arrive ,our garlic and cheese bread arrived it was well worth the wait do yourself a favor and order it. We then waited again for our mains, other people who arrived after us and ordered after us received their meals well before us. Meals arrived, chicken Parma was very over done hard and dry , seafood spaghetti was cold, and the salad served with the fish and chips was swimming in oil. Seems the salad had been dressed at the start of service and as this was nearing the end it was limp and yuk. I also found it a bad look for staff to go to the outdoor area to smoke during service, and for the female on the cashiers desk in the gaming room to be talking on her phone while customers were waiting. The outside of the building lets it down if you did not know how nice the inside was you would drive on by. Over all I would say our visit was a fail

Always like to eat at a local hotel or club and eat in the bar area when we are on holiday. Nice to meet the locals and learn about the area. The Nagambie Rowing Club bar staff were friendly. We felt the meals in the bar were a bit over priced but they were delicious and big. The dining area looked lovely and had a great view of the lake.

What a wonderful place! My partner and I drove the Corolla up from Melbourne and having chatted with friends to source tips, knew we had to attend the Rowing Club. Upon arrival and down a gravel track we got out on foot and realized we’d in fact driven to the actual rowing shed. We abused and blamed each other for this error, had a quick fight then rushed back to the Corolla and headed to the Main Street and found the correct building, and what a beauty she is. Lovely facade, appropriately weathered and ugly chairs and tables inside but so warm and welcoming. It has a lovely charm, complimented by brilliant staff who are all over it. Well, Kelly was. We were offered our choice of seat so we selected the rear river view room that was bright and busy. My partner and I were the few people under age 60 as they have a very good pensioner special. After a few crispy cold pots of Carlton we moved to whites and reds. We considered Kelly’s recommendation of curry but couldn’t pass the scotch fillet and porterhouse. Priced at $38/$34 they were the more expensive options but oh my lord so damn worth it. The food was beautiful, steak so crispy and charred on the outside, so smooth and juicy inside. Two very happy lads, we ate our lunch with joy and I even got my side of hot English mustard. Some tips were provided by staff as to where to source the cheapest best local vinos, and a $50 donation was made to the pokies on our way out, and we enjoyed a lovely walk up and down the main drag. I love this place, I love Nagambie. Thank you Kelly and team.

Lovely place but we had horrible service. The older lady at the bar was so rude to all of us. Both when ordering drinks and coffees, we had to check our orders multiple times and they still came out wrong. I would understand if you were run off your feet busy making a mistake, but I was the only one ordering coffees and i was cut off multiple times and treated as though I was a nuisance. Not a good customer experience whatsoever. And Charlotte one of the waitresses was very abrupt and rude when serving and cleaning tables. We understand we are a big group, but we were patient and polite the whole time, but treated as though we were an only a bother. Would be nice if we come back to some female staff who treated people nicely. All of the other staff were lovely and helpful, but these two ladies need to brush up of their customer service skills.

My wife and I had lunch here recently during our holiday. We were staying at the Nagambie Waterfront Motel, which is within walking distance from this place.
My wife had barramundi with vegetables while I had a Scotch Fillet Steak with pepper sauce.
The food was delicious and service was good. We had a table next to a window with a view of the lake.

We had a lovely dinner on the deck, and while it was a bit bright before the sun sunk behind the lake, the view and colours were amazing.
We shared the calamari entrée, then I had the Scotch Fillet and hubby the Gnocchi.
The meals were fresh and delicious, with the kitchen able to supply the hot English mustard I like to have with steak. You’d be surprised how many places dont.

Although this venue has had extensive reservations done and looks amazing, the meals were really average. My husbands pork belly crackling was so hard you couldn't cut through it. I had pie of the day which was ok but the mash potato was tasteless and there were hardly any peas. This place could be so much more. The only thing I could not fault was the friendly customer service by the waitress and the bar staff.
If you are booking for a meal, book in the dining area of the bistro if you want to be away from children. Much quieter.

We ate here for lunch during a stay at a local winery. The staff were extremely welcoming, and 5 or so even went to the trouble to thank us on the way out.
Typical club: had to sign in (plus usual Covid stuff). We were seated near the huge windows overlooking Lake Nagambie, and promptly offered menus. Order at the bar.
Meals cheap (subsidised by pokies) but good.
They even offer a 2 course Senior's meal for $17.
Great place for a "pub meal".

Have to say this was a surprise, were staying a couple of nights at Mitchelton Winery. After a dissapointing evening at Muse restaurant there we went into Nagambie to see what else was available. Most restaurants were closed as only opening Thurday to Sunday so popped into the rowing club for a look and decided very nice dining area overlooking lake we booked and came back for dinner. Have to say all the staff were brilliant, even suggesting kids serves for my wife who did not want a huge plate ( which they are) parma and pot night Wednesdays $20 absolute bargainas as food was top quality. I left my coat on the chair when i left and the guy ran down the street to catch me when he noticed. Highly recommend.

Dined here on Friday evening and watched an excellent sunset. Ordered cheesy garlic bread, seared scallops, chicken burger, grilled barramundi, and chicken pesto pasta, with sides of salad. All meals were very good, especially the seared scallops. Barra was cooked well, and the sriracha slaw with the burger gave the meal a nice hit. Servings were a good size, service was prompt and staff were friendly.

Looking for lunch in town, wandered past the Rowing Club. Brilliant eating areas, overlooking the lake - indoors OR out, very good staff & such a find. Shout out to Alexander - we didn't have a booking, he wasn't fazed, greeted us like friends and ensured we were comfy. Ordered lunch - Steak Sandwich for her, Porterhouse for him. Each meal was really well presented, beautifully cooked and delicious. Bar staff were equally friendly & helpful. This is a really happy memory, thanks Rowing Club.

This is a great place to stop for a drink and a meal. The view across the lake on a hot sunny day is superb.
The food is also very good - the fish at least tasted like it was prepared in house. The wine list had local wines which is always appreciated by me. Can hardly wait to have a return visit.

The position of the Nagambie Rowing Club is fantastic. The ambience is terrific - Clean, Bright and Modern overlooking the lake. Choices are excellent - great variety. The seared scallops were lovely. The Special Parma was thick and juicy. However my Caesar Salad was boring - especially the very old and stale croutons. Better to have none. Poached Egg would have been better instead of boiled egg. Could be improved.
