Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The salad rolls which we purchased were soggy and inedible. My husband likes Chocolate Profiteroles. He saw what he thought were Profiteroles in the display cabinet and purchased 2. When I saw them i suspected they weren't the real deal. The pastry did not have...the texture of taste of proper Profiteroles, they were inedible. Unfortunately this bakery had a captive audience so we doing a good trade serving horrible foodMore

This is an archetypal country bakery situated in the Main Street of charming and picturesque Marysville. If you’re looking for a tasty snack, a cup of coffee or a quick lunch, join the locals who patronize this establishment. I enjoyed my pepper steak pie, which...had hearty chunks of tasty tender beef, as well a a mug of hot coffee - an ideal lunch on a chilly day! Well worth a visit when you’re in the area.More

More than just a bakery this place also offers meals. With an opening time of 7am it was a perfect stop for breakfast. Friendly service and big chunks of tender beef in my pepper steak pie. It probably could have had more pepper but that...was a small issue. Deep dish pie too not those shallow ones you can get elsewhere. So good we went back for lunch. Staff regularly clean the tables and there is plenty of seating inside and out. There are lots of birds visiting the outdoor tables so be warned.More

Opens at 7 so it was perfect for an early Breakfast. In addition to the usual bakery offerings they also do full meals. It’s a big indoor area and the tables were regularly cleaned. I chose the pepper steak pie with a coffee. Service was...friendly, the pie could have been more peppered but the big chunks of tender beef were pretty good and the pie was a deep dish style not the shallow useless variety sold by some. It was so good we went back for lunch.More

Lovely bakery/cafe. Had to open door quickly due to all the birds wanting to get in and sample the bakery 😆. In a lovely area, very peaceful this time of year.

Our cycle group came here for late morning coffee and lunch. Unfortunately there was no soup on a cold and damp day. Good range, but average choices and quality.

I enjoyed visiting the country bakery for lunch and breakfast during our stay. Lovely home made soup and gf bread and the vegetarian breakfast was great value for money. Beautiful setting. Plenty of seating. Better options than Beechworth bakery in Healesville for a coieliac person.

Visiting the establishment is as to visit an un-untended property that was left to decay over time. old furniture. as from a decade ago, not an inviting atmosphere, the out door furniture, are all smeared with bird's that no one bother to clean, so the...only choice. is to seat indoors in the mess and noise.More

I had a wonderful Australia day in Warburton and regret agreeing to my husband's suggestion that we drive to Marysville. We visited the Marysville Country Bakery on arrival, and I was eager to leave the town after this. I understand that people are worn down...in our current situation, however, the staff presented as unfriendly, made little to no eye contact (obviously no smiles or facial expressions due to mask wearing), just unwelcome in the eyes. The éclair I was given was tasteless, the pastry was hard and difficult to cut with a knife. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the stench in the room made me want to gag. I left not accomplishing my intended task of handwashing. All in all, a terrible experience. Thankfully we also visited the Beechworth Bakery in Healesville , which is really where we should have gone to instead of Marysville, and picked up some take away over there. On the plus side, our coffees were nice at Marysville, but it's not somewhere I would ever return to.More

Extremely rude front staff. They obviously don't want custom from out of towners. Coffee was acceptable.

Went to the bakery on recommendations from friends from Melbourne for amazing pies, arrived at 11.55am and they had 1 pastie and the odd flavour pie or flavours no one really eats like beef and cheese. No steak, no sausage rolls none of the go...to aussie flavours. Strange to have so many people coming in and out and having no supply of hot pies etc at lunchtime. Poor show and very lazy business who don't care about passing trade. Never Again.More
