Always spot on with brunch and worth the wait when busy. Just go for a stroll and they will call you when your table is ready...easy peasy. Super friendly staff too. Saturday mornings are busy, but so so good after Parkrun :)

This coffee house concentrates on the best coffee and fast service. A large menu for breakfast and lunch and the choice of inside or under the umbrellas outside the door completes the offerings. Staff are pleasant and helpful and the takeaway system is fast.

Fantastic coffee, great breakfast with generous portions and interesting selections. Service was quick and friendly especially since they were so busy. Really one of the best cafes I’ve been to. Highly recommended

TripAdvisor said it was the best place in town and it definitely was. Amazing pizza and gnocchi with flavor and texture for days. Will come again if we are in the area.

Our group of bike riders doing the Great Victorian Rail Trail had breakfast twice at the Coffee Merchant. The coffee, food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

We had a large group of cyclists arrive for breakfast without a booking. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and the food was great. The meals came quickly. The coffee was really good and the barista obviously has a big local following with lots...of takeaways. This is real gem in a small town.More

First up I've got to say the service was excellent and the coffee is worth travelling for. But I remember cheery burgers and simple, well-priced food. A calamari salad I had once was especially good. This time I had an overpriced, very oily, mostly flavourless...(coffee beef?) toasted sandwich and my partner had a very green, overly wet risotto with, oddly, an entire crumbed, deep fried crab sitting on top of it. It was an unusual presentation for a risotto. The pizzas on the next table did, however We'll drop in again for coffee, but we'll check the menu online before planning a meal here again.More

We had an amazing breakfast here with a group of friends, all travelers. It was so wonderful, the food delicious and the service was extremely pleasant.

This place has changed, not many tables inside now and we can only get a table outside without any reservation during the school holidays on a late morning before lunch time. My kids had the sourdough with eggs and I ordered the beef ribs toasties,...food was ok but service can definitely be improved. We didn’t order the ice coffee/mocha (which I remembered to be very good from 3 years ago) as we were sitting outside. Somehow I found this place has changed, as I was so looking forward to eat here in this trip.More
