While the food was ok. The customer service was horrible! Berating my wife is just not ok! After this my wife refused to go back. So we haven’t eaten there in 12 months and will never go back. The customer service was shocking!!

The service was amazing the staff was very kind and helpful, of course the food was delicious aswell we are really looking forward to come here again.
I’m very glad I didn’t read the reviews before we went in , or we wouldn’t have gone! We went for lunch and had very good, and quick service. The Goa fish curry was beautiful, as was the Lamb Korma. We had medium, and really...it was quite mild, but still spicy and tasty. The owner made us a jug of salt lassi at our request. The decor certainly could do with some attention, some nice Indian pictures to liven it up a bit would be nice, but we could not fault the food, other than the naan.More
We visited this place on our way back to mount Buller. We got refused to serve as owner wasn’t happy with our meal selections. Owner claim to pay his worker $35-40 so we should buy excess food regardless of our choice. This team need some...education for hospitality. I believe their position reviews are paid. Restaurant reply to each negative google reviews tells you all about their treatment to customers.More
The onion bhajis and samosas were OK. Chicken in the Madras was inedible, I've never seen anything of this colour or texture before. My only explanation is they raided the local pet cemetery. Naan bread flat, overcooked and tasteless. Many menu items unavailable - not...even any Papadoms!! Inside walls are painted breeze-block with no attempt at decoration whatsoever, let alone any Indian feel. Tables left uncleared from previous diners, rice all over the floor. It was August and despite there being two heaters, neither were operating, people sitting and eating with outdoor coats on. My question - how do they stay in business?More
I specifically asked if there was a Tandoor in use. He said yes. No. I can tell the difference between a Tandoor cooked naan and a pan fried one. I asked if the chicken tikka would be cooked in a Tandoor. He said yes. No....But it may have been a while ago. certainly not today. The naan was pan fried. The lamb in the Bhuna Gosht was boiled to death and flavourless. It tasted like my curries do when I had frozen leftovers and defrosted for a next meal. I asked if I could have fresh green steamed vegetables. I asked him to confirm if they are actually fresh. He said yes. No. I was given frozen vegetables. The raita was stale as the cucumber was not freshly grated or crisp as it is supposed to be. A disappointing $75 of dinner.More
Awful. Service from start to finish was not good. Would give it a zero if I could. The food is very mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself an Indian...restaurant. The owner was rude. Come here if you want attitude. He could not handle negative feedback. I was verbally abused and nearly attacked physically by the owner. His staff had to hold him back. Anyone with more than a one star review was paid for sure.More
The food here is lovely and the service is fine but it’s all a little too simple. Wine list is pretty small and the decor dated. The food is great to eat in or take away - lamb dishes were best.
Had stop over in mansfield during visit to MT bullar. So visited this place its just a simple small family run restaurant. Had ordered chana masala butter chicken and plain naan. Tatse was ok but the naan was not the authentic cooked in tandoor it...was cooked on pan basically. You dont have any other choice if u want to eat indian food .More
Awesome food, great service. Had a lovely meal on Kebab night. Staff are welcoming. Good night. Will definitely be back. Karen and Tim
Lovely curry choices - particularly loved the lamb saag. Service was attentive and quick. Look for wine rack and make your choice - nice idea .
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at this restaurant we stumbled across in Mansfield. The staff were friendly and our meal came out quickly. Each item was fresh, hot, very tasty and we happily devoured our meal. Recommend chicken tikka, seekh kebabs, palak paneer, dual makani,...rotis and naans. A must have is the home made dessert, kulfi, which is a churned ice cream. It was a yummy finish to our meal. Certainly a restaurant that we will visit again.More
Just back from another great meal at the Curry Garden. We've enjoyed a number of their dishes on a few occasions now, and would definitely recommend them. I think Curry Garden is a good place for great Indian food.
Absolutely the best affordable place if you are craving for some delicious Indian food. Always been looked after by quality staff. Highly recommended!
We used to eat at this restaurant regularly years ago under previous owners until the food went downhill. This got taken over in January 2020 with new owners, so we thought we give it a try again. We ordered takeaway for 2 on a Thursday...night. Service was good and the wait time only about 20 minutes. We ordered vegetable samosas, Chicken Jalfrezi, Beef Vindaloo, garlic naan, and rice. The samosa’s were different to any I have seen. Instead of a peaked triangle full of spiced vegetables, we received a flattened triangle about 1.5cm high filled with vegetables with very little spice at all. The pastry was soft except for the edges. Very disappointing. The Chicken Jalfrezi overall flavour was reasonable although more capsicum could have been used. The chicken was nice and tender. The Beef Vindaloo had a nice flavour, and a nice quantity of meat. The sauce was a bit of a letdown. While having flavour it was simply too thick and rich. This was unfortunate as it spoilt the dish. A runnier sauce and this would have been quite nice. The meat was lovely and tender. Could definitely had more chilli as it was not “Indian hot” like we ordered, quite mild. The garlic naan was more like a roti and quite doughy, especially the middle. Definitely not a typical naan bread. The rice was meant to have coriander, unfortunately there was none. Not to mention at $8 for 2 small containers very expensive. It did not seem a busy night, however some more attention to detail in ordering and food quality, should fix these errors. A definite improvement on previous owners. We would be prepared to eat there again and try some more of their dishes.More
