Lunch at The Produce Store is usually delightful. A huge menu of food and drinks, delicious sweet treats, and produce make it a destination store for locals and visitors alike.
We had a dry and tasteless chicken/mushroom/mustard pie & I ordered the egg and bacon baguette as a salad (allergic to yeast/potato in bread) but was informed they couldn't make it a salad and I could only have egg and bacon. They did add half an avocado on request. Bacon was overcooked, more than just crispy. Didn't appreciate the kitchen staff staring at me across the restaurant when the waitress came to let me know.
Black coffee had no crema and the walnut and ginger cake was dry and crumbly.
Music in the store was way to loud to be enjoyable!
All in all disappointing, and now included with the Mansfield Hotel of places not to return to in a hurry.

Great, relaxed, friendly and excellent coffee. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and the staff welcome you with a smile and are happy to answer any questions you may have with regard to the food, the wine or the produce on display.
Check out the display of cheese, relishes, oils, balsamic vinegar, wines and food. So much to choose from and reasonably priced.
Stop for coffee, cake or lunch, you won't be disappointed.

There are three key requirements for me when I rate a cafe or resturaunt; food, coffee, and ‘almost’ more importantly is service. The Mansfield Produce Store excels at all three without fail which I’ve rarely seen. I have been known to drive the hour each way just for the coffee and friendly service! Thanks Beth, Renee, & Jenny for always being so positive and never failing with the service through this very dark Victorian winter. Thanks Gillian for making this all happen!

Thankyou Peter for your very kind words.
It was a particularly bleak year but we are really proud of our staff team and their ability to roll with the changes and still turn up smiling and happy.

We bought takeaway coffees here early Mothers Day before doing the 8km Mothers day walk along the rail trail. Coffee was of ordinary quality and over heated. Stupid us went back there after the walk requesting milk only be heated to 62C. These second coffees were even hotter than the first ones and were poorly made. Clearly not a qualified barista. Seems there are better cafes in town nowadays, we wont be back.

I had heard much about this place so decided to give it a crack.
Ordered a take away coffee and a sausage roll. I was informed that they make everything to order and please can I wait outside. They weren't very busy.
I waited 12 mins for a bland and scorching hot coffee and another 3 mins for my sausage roll.
I will say the sausage roll was huge and tasted lovely.
However, was driving thru and just wanted something to eat and a coffee to go. 15 mins seemed like forever.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review.
Apologies for your too hot coffee - we're always happy to replace anything that isn't quite right so please let us know next time. The giant sausage rolls are a favourite on our menu and always enjoyed.
During COVID restrictions we have to limit the number of people inside The Store which is why you would have been asked to step aside whilst your order was being prepared.

Lots of yummy options delivered by friendly staff. I especially loved the Iced Ginger and Mint Tea. And their iced coffee of course! Loved the vegetarian tart for lunch and all the baguettes are delicious. And with easy vegetarian variations, all members of the family are catered for!

We hadn't previously heard about this store but it looked interesting from the outside and we usually like to source local produce to see if there is something a little bit different. We had been visiting the area in the morning so decided to stop for a wine on our way home but before that we had a walk around the store. We picked up a few interesting, different items that we thought would be fun we then asked for a table to sit and have a wine. We both chose the Sauvignon Blanc but ended up with a chardonnay, that's ok it was a good chardonnay and it wasn't so much to taste the wine as have the experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the prices good and the ambiance outside was appealing. All up a good experience.

Small venue with great fireplace for those cold winter nights. Outside tables in warmer weather . Great tasting meals with fast friendly service. Also supply a range of local foods and preserves as well as local wines to take away

I called in for breakfast, on my first visit to Mansfield. Food was good - lots of choices - and very friendly staff. I ordered their own home made granola which came with a variety of fresh fruit and plain yoghurt. I enjoyed it; very filling. So much nicer than the usual granola.

We ordered a Ploughman's Platter and the quality, quantity and value of the meats, cheeses and all was superb. A simple and effective way to tend to a meal for a group of holiday goers. They offer a broad range of gluten free, vegan and other options.

We dined out the front. Staff were friendly enough and covid restrictions were in place. The menu was limited though with no childrens menu or basics like chips. it was also on the expensive side with 3 meals being over $70.00... quite a lot for lunchtime. We were visiting the area but probably would not return

We stopped for a quick lunch break whilst visiting the area over a weekend and it was friendly and inviting cafe. We both had toasted sandwiches and smoothies which came out in a timely manner. All in all , it was nice, nothing special.

We had a lovely breakfast here and the menu offered great classics and local produce. The service was great and the cafe itself is set amongst a treasure trove of eclectic art and craft. A lovely experience.

This is a warm, friendly place with excellent food and coffee. The baguettes are huge (could feed 2) - we had the roast veggie one and the rare roast beef - both delicious (but a bit of horseradish sauce would make the beef one even better!)
Lots of local produce to browse - we bought yummy lemon curd.
Make sure you book a table as the place is small. Worth a visit! : )
