Don’t bother. Service is poor and slow. We ordered three pub meals (burger, pasta, steak sandwich)… then waited and waited and waited. Then we waited some more. We followed up after 30 minutes and were told our meal was coming. Without any checking we were...told out meal was coming. Yeah, so is Christmas. After 45 minutes we walked out. The Delatite pub, diagonally across the roundabout, has a great menu, friendly service and good food. Go there instead.More
We visit here once a week for a meal and it has always been great food. We though we would try the Monday night curry night. a choice of any three curries for $25 sounded great. I ordered the Pork curry and my wife ordered...the Lamb shank pie which i had a taste of and it was great. My pork curry was anything but not good. it had 4 cubs of pork belly in what i would call a bowl of oil. I do not know where the curry was and it tasted terrible. The rice was good The roti was really wet. NO good at all. Mansfield Hotel your are letting the bar slip down the ladder. . we are going back next week and i will try the beef curry and see what that is like and i will report back with my comment and some pics. Don’t order the lamb shank pie. Most deflating experience you’ll have. Big pie when it leaves the kitchen … full of hot air and no shank when you pop the pastry. I gave it back - they charged me 50% because they said I had...eaten some of it. I felt bad about giving it back without tasting it … that mouthful cost me $18.More
We went for dinner on the last night. Wish we had of gone early and would have gone back. Great great food. So tasty. Friendly staff and nice warm fire.
Lovely meal . Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here . Steaks were well cooked and salad was fresh and chips and veggies all well cooked and presented. This place is a great location in a beautiful town .
Our food was a little slow getting out to us, but it was busy. The better half rated her burger 10/10. I give my parma an 8. Mine wasn't that hot and not as large as the others that came out to our table. Menu...wasn't that special. I will try elsewhere next time I'm in Mansfield, but not rule out looking at the menu. I do recommend people having a look. The overall vibe from our table (10 of us) was probably 8/10.More
Cauliflower Croquettes- Croquettes very tasty, siracha mayonnaise didn’t go well , chilli overpowered the cheesy croquettes. croquette tasty by themselves, the beautiful Milawa cheese is lost with the chilli. Lamb Gnocchi - Huge serve, lamb tender, gnocchi itself was ok, menu reads better than it...actually is, no love in the sauce Chicken Tangine - chicken thigh was dry, overcooked sadly. Lacked seasoning, cous cous dry , no flavour , the tziki might have saved the dish if there was more of it. I felt awful for wasting so much food, hoped the staff would ask how the meal was … given I hardly touched it, but no questions asked. Menu sounds amazing but sadly not executed, cook please taste and season your food, for the price you’re charging for pub food it needs to be better.More
Best food in food and service in Mansfield. Maybe not the cheapest. But you only get what you pay for. Sunday night we both had the roast pork $26 very tender pork and a lot of it with crackling.heaps of roast veggies we struggled. But...after washing it down with a nice prossecco we had room for sweets. I had sticky date pudding with icecream and butterscotch sauce $15. My wife had the coconut cream meringue $15. We were full. another great meal . even got a 10% discount with free loyalty membership. My birthday in April and I will get a $25 voucher to use in the bistroMore
We had the most ridiculous experience at this hotel I have ever had. There were eight of us at a table and another couple came to the restaurant we knew and we wanted them to join us. There were six empty tables and a number...of tables where there were two people at a table that could hold four or six. The hotel host WOULD NOT let us take two chairs from tables where the chairs were not being used and add them to our table. When we queried this he said the restaurant was too busy. In the end my husband and myself moved to another table completely so the new guests could join the others.More
Good food and friendly staff. The "Seniors" Parmigiana was the perfectly sized meal for lunch. We sat inside, in the cool, but there was a lovely courtyard area outside, as well. A lovely country pub.
Wonderful prompt table service. Food was served quickly, great serving sizes and very fresh Would definitely return upon next visit.
We ate at the Bistro at the hotel. The food was expensive ($40 for an ordinary steak) and the specials were terrible - a pasta dish that lacked flavour and appeared to be just thrown together. Perhaps it would have been better to stick to...the usual pub food of burgers and parmis.More

Visiting Mansfield and decided on this bistro for dinner, great food options and nice feel to the place. Had some nice outside seating and also a courtyard that was dog friendly . Staff were friendly and food was good. Would dine here again if back...in the area.More
