This was an amazing find! Definitely try it if you are after really great American BBQ. Food was so delicious and big portions. I really enjoyed the setting also, along with the really lovely service, the whole experience was a win!

We love BBQ - we got hooked when we travelled in the US and we will try anywhere that does that kind of cooking and we just happened to be in Mallacoota on the first night of this venue reopening for the summer and we...couldn't wait to try it. Boy, we were not disappointed - it was amazing and cause we wanted to try it all we ordered way too much, but stuffed ourselves stupid trying to eat it all. Was so yummy - give it a go and I am sure you will be hooked too. Well done to the business owners - great job!More

This weekend Coota Q rose to the challenge, producing sumptuous Italian cuisine under takeaway restrictions. The arancini balls were superb. I chose the creamy gnocchi with beef ragu which melted in the mouth. All enhanced by a refreshing rocket salad. What a treat for a...wet winters night.More

Firstly the service, incredible. The lovely welcome and instant response allows for a very calming night and makes you feel as if you are the main focus with a little bit of chit chat and building a rapport with the waiters. Moving onto the pulled...pork... to die for. It just simply fell apart and the taste was amazing (not too much smoke not too much spice just right.) so perfectly cooked and tips to the chef for this gloriously cooked meat. Later introducing the cool creamy coleslaw which just refreshed and made the meal more enjoyable. Thank you Coota Q for an incredible meal!! We will be back soon.More

We started our dining experience with friendly staff giving us a warm country welcome. The menu provided a vast variety of BBQ delights. Well, when at American BBQ you dont miss the opportunity to have fryed chicken with its counterpart, buffalo sauce. The crispy chicken...and and spicy sauce worked in unison for the full flavour to disperse in the taste buds. Along side the chicken we had the pork belly, which dissolved like butter in the mouth. What followed was the brisket which was smoked to perfection. To finish of the the array of smoked delights we had the ribs which were tender and just melted away from the bone. To refresh our palate, the potato salad and coleslaw provided a refreshing taste just in time for dessert. I'm not much of a sweet tooth but I couldn't say no to Chocolate Creme Brulee topped with toasted marshmallow. Yup. That right, toasted marshmallow. The combination of creamy chocolate and warm toasted marshmallow was amazing. It needs to be tasted to be believed. I even ate two. I highly recommend when visiting this small country town to treat yourself to the big smoke.More

We didn’t travel half way around the world to go to Coota Q but we are certainly glad we did. Mallacoota is gorgeous and having food like this on your doorstep is an added attraction. The couple who run the ‘pop up’ couldn't be more...welcoming and friendly. We had the mixed plate with a side of fried chicken and fries - and ended up taking some of it away for the next day. The slow braised beef was fantastic and the pulled pork equally juicy and tender. Well done guys, we think what you are doing is fantastic !!!More

Found this pop up by chance - thank goodness we did. SO much love and passion is obvious in every dish. Cheap prices with smaller serves so you can try a lot of dishes- all faves but especially the pork belly and pork ribs. Had...to try the Nutella parcels after such a brilliant meal and they were equally delicious. Well done Luke and Angela - one of the best restaurants we have been to - congrats to you both and your team.More

Truely the tastiest food that I have ever eaten. Slow cooked deliciousness, great value for money. I was jealous of the people coming in after we were leaving, because I wanted to eat it all again. Highly recommended for anyone near Mallacoota.

There are not a lot of places to eat in Mallacoota but this pop up restaurant more than made up for this. Don't be put off by the fact that it is in the Bowls club, this makes it rather special. The food was excellent...even for a person who is not a great meat eater and the staff were great. Good food at a good price.More

Hi, yes we do. All of the meat is gluten free and some of the sides. It’s mainly the deep fried stuff that isn’t but in saying that it’s possible to do popcorn chicken and wings gluten free. Cheers
