We will always spend an evening at the golf club for dinner. Often celebrating a birthday. The food is standard club/pub fayre with all the favourites. It isn’t gourmet but it never pretends that. It’s tasty and good size portions. Good selection of wines and...beers. Bonus they run a free pick up and drop off into town/camping ground.More

This is one of the few places open for dinner in this small town. Presently only open Thursday to Sunday that might change over the holiday season. The menu is displayed on boards on the wall, we chose grilled salmon with salad and chips. The...meals arrived after about 20 minutes, probably longer than we expected, but were got and tasty and a reasonable size. We felt the cost, A$32 each was a little high for the type of establishment.More

We went looking for somewhere different for dinner in Mallacoota. Went to golf club - and there was no-one there. One car (a small van to apparently do pick ups around town), and the building was empty. Maybe we stuck them on the off season???...So we went elsewhere!!More

Went for a roast as advertised in Mallacoota Mouth on Sunday, but when we all got there, there was no roast on.

Family friendly, large groups, great food and lovely staff. The golf club will pick you up from your campsite in the courtesy bus and drop you home again. Reasonably priced, great night out

I play golf just about everywhere I go and to find an 18 hole course with grass greens was a surprise. Now in fairness it had rained for a while so the fairways could not be mowed, and its not like playing at a resort...course, but very acceptable indeed -- just watch out for the snakes; as I found out on the 13th green. I got a deal for the week I was there and it worked out much better than paying for each game, and they have buggies. The bar is not open all the time but we got lucky and had a few drinks out the back. If you are on a road trip -- take your clubs and have a hit but seriously watch out for the snakes.More

Despite the signage on the entrance saying Bistro open 5 nights 6-8, when you drive up to the entrance the signage says open 6-8 Thursday to Sunday. That adds up to 4 nights. Today is Wednesday, so we went to the pub and had a...great mealMore

Very little choice of where to eat in Mallacoota so picked this place for a Friday night. Drink prices reasonable and usual predictable club food on offer. Edible but unexciting. Got pushed off our table by a discourteous bunch of loud locals.

I would be ringing the Golf Club around July to book in for Christmas Lunch. Also, the Mallacoota Hotel have superb meals, especially their roasts on Sundays. Thoroughly recommended!!
