Great place for drinks, meals, entertainment and TAB. - great atmosphere and friendly staff. Kyneton RSL is an inclusive and welcoming RSL to all. We provide many welfare programs, support to Veterans and their dependent's and we support local communities. Kyneton RSL Sub-branch formed at a meeting held in the Temperance Hall on April 19, 1918. Open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner the Kyneton RSL it is the perfect spot to bring family and friends for a night out, a delicious meal or to hold your next function with a 110 seated Bistro. You’ll be surprised with what you’ll find at your local, Kyneton RSL!

We visited twice as soon as Covid19 restrictions eased. Staff were exemplary, seniors meals well priced, well presented and enjoyable. We noticed that vegetables seemed fresh, not frozen.

We were recommended tothe RSL by locals. It didn't disappoint. Food was prepared well, was fresh and looked good on the plate. Salads were very fresh and not overly dressed. I decided on the vege stack as an entree. (Next time I will have it as the main as it was delicious) My calamari main was cooked just right and was an amount to satisfy any hunger. My wife had the prawns entree and the chicken and mango salad as the main and was impressed as well. Recommended

Delightful establishment that have warm and welcoming staff. Makes the wife and I feel very comfortable every visit.
And just to add to the positives, the food is beautiful. Came in last week and noticed the menu has changed. Had us very excited! New menu is fresh looking and offers great variety of meal options, something for everyone. Specials are always on point too.
We ordered the scotch schnitzel and the girello. Did not let us down. Prices are very reasonable, great venue to take family and friends. Highly recommend.

Ordered the special cheesecake for desert, waited over 30 minutes for it, and they gave us Panna Cotta I think which wasn't even nice, or it was just the cream and berries from the cheesecake. The mains were okay, but I've had better at the Kyneton RSL. Pretty disappointing

Meals were disappointing. Ordered fish n chips and parmi. Both were with chips n salad . Chips were cold and not freshly cooked. Looked like they were reheated. Fish was dry. Parmi was burnt around the edges. Upside was that the side salad was nice the best bit. Won’t be back.

If its a club environment with good bars and dining then the RSL at Kyneton is for you. We had good meals at a reasonable price in a clean vibrant environment. popular with the locals and some interesting historic displays.

We had a nice lunch here during the week a chicken Parmalat and a steak sandwich both extremely good. Drinks at reasonable prices. Good experience.

Better than a pub, parma is possibly best I've tried in town, went on parma night though so that might be why! such a selection. Hubby had the scotch fillet, cooked to rare perfection and i mean rare as no one seems to be able to cook it any good these days. Will go back for sure.

We have been coming to the RSL for years now and have loved it, there was some hit and miss moments years ago but in the last 3 or 4 years the kitchen has been consistently delicious and the service warm and friendly. Its our go to Kyneton as we always know its going to be good. Love the pub favourites on the menu (parma burger etc) but its the specials that catch my eye, I always love to order something new when i go out and they definitely cater for that, if not cant go past their pasta of the day whatever it may be. Its good to see a community minded establishment that just offers good old fashioned service and meals. Couldn't speak higher of it!

We were passing through Kyneton and decided to stop at the Kyneton RSL. What a shocker this turned out. We placed an order being Chicken Parma and the roast of the day (Beef), we some 50 minutes and got fed up waiting,we approached bar staff to find out what happened to our order. Back came a fellow holding two plates our meals. The parma had burnt cheese and had appeared to be standing there for sometime they had probably forget it was there,it was only warm,had burnt chips and i was told it was horrible. My meal the beef had burnt roast potatoes, 3 very small slices of beef and was only warm at best. This was the WORST meal i have seen in 10 years. We will NEVER GO NEAR THIS PLACE AGAIN. ONLY GAVE IT ONE POINT BECAUSE I HAD TO. This is a disgrace for the respected rsl, what a pity.

We had a family lunch here. We ordered meals ranging from the chicken parma to arancini balls, which were at a typical pub/bistro standard. Nothing above the average here.

Have been returning to the RSL on a number of occassions, the food is great, the service is a little bit slow, but the food is defently worth the wait. They have a great range of food, including being able to adjust there menu to make it gluten free. Relaxing family meal. You will defently need to book otherwise you may not get in. Will return here.
