The food was amazing and the design and ambience of the restaurant were on point. Friendly and efficient service. The barramundi dish and broccolini side were incredible. Also highly recommend the chocolate soufflé. Will definitely be coming back.

Booked a table for 4 for my 50th for dinner and I was thrilled with this choice. We started with the tasting platter and we all enjoyed it very much. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Three of us had steak for main which didn’t...require a steak knife! So tender and delicious. Our other friend had a burger and was just as delighted as well. The menu I thought was small but well thought out and reasonably priced for the A grade food that is served. The drinks menu was extensive with all local wines served. The staff were amazing! Thanks for a great evening, we will be back 👏👏👏👏👏👏More

Hi Kathryn, The point of difference between Herd and some venues is our chefs make everything (& I mean literally everything) from scratch.! This is clearly evident on the plate but is also conveyed with the flavours. We’re all stoked we could be a small...More

Lovely, friendly service and a nice cosy atmosphere. Food was good, kids loved the burgers. It wasn’t cheap (as such) but food was good quality and we were happy with the portion sizes. Also enjoyed the eggplant fries, really tasty! Will definitely visit again.

Hi Mary, Thanks for taking the time to post your review. Whilst we believe and the majority of our guests agree, we are striking the right balance in what is an extremely difficult industry, unfortunately we can’t please everyone. There’s numerous cheaper options scattered throughout...More

We first stumbled across this late one evening when everywhere else had given up been a restaurant. Tucked away off the Main Street this funky little set up was a breathe of fresh air. My first impression was that this place was different and in...a good way. As you enter, the bar is in front of you and lights were dimmed and decor was warm and cosy. You can opt to sit in the bar area on stools at your own table or continue through into a sit down restaurant. The small dishes we had were great portions and the flavours and presentation was first class. On top of this I found the staff friendly and the service was fantastic. Needless to say I had to return for a full meal. My second visit was just as I remembered it. The menu is quite limited with 4 mains as well as various Burger options but did not disappoint. There is something for everyone and believe me, I’m a fussy eater. Instead of eye fillet I was convinced by the waiter to try the sirloin and the cut and flavours resulted in one of the best steaks I’d had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection and very tender. The chicken was juicy and very tasty. Would recommend the halloumi and the broccolini sides, and the lamb kofta was also amazing. All in all I couldn’t fault the food the venue or the service. Very well priced and great parking to boot. Tiny intimate establishment with, sassy stylish vibe, top chef, and friendly service.More

We went to Herd on a little couples trip. We were served by Ellie and she is an absolute gem! All smiles and happy to ask any questions about the area . Eggplant chips were 10/10 but couldn't get a pic of hubby's burger, he...ate it to quick! Hoping we have enough time to pop in again before we leave !More

We booked a table here for a late lunch in advance for New Years eve thinking it would be very busy. Surprisingly it wasn't. The staff were very friendly as well as being attentive and making sure we were happy with our meal. We started...off with Smoked Salmon and potato croquettes. They were very good. This was followed by two very tasty hamburgers served with crispy shoe string fries. The servings were generous. This was followed by the chocolate souffle' which was perhaps a little under whelming, but still quite edible. Overall this was a very good meal and we'd definitely go back if in the area again.More

Smart casual is always preferred, however, we do also welcome the scruffy locals calling in after work for a few! and yes we do have an outdoor area, which caters to the smokers.
