Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved the food, the staff were all so helpful and lovely. Lots of gluten free options to choose from and the food was magnificent. The locals love this place and I can see why! Brilliant!

We had butter chicken, coriander prawn and koofa lamb, everything tasted fantastic. We feel the portion could be more generous. Nonetheless, we would love to come back if we were to visit Healesville again.

Absolutely disappointed! Lamb Biryani didn’t taste the way it’s meant to with just 2 pieces of lamb in it. Fish curry had no taste. Called back to give them feedback and the front staff just didn’t care. Will definitely not be returning to thins restaurant ever again and won’t be recommending this restaurant.

After reading a few bad reviews since new ownership/ management we were hesitant to go back to Paramparaa. But we are glad we did. My partner doesn’t take well to different cuisines and he LOVED the lamb vindaloo. Butter chicken and butter prawns were delicious. The naan was rubbery once it had cooled down. A kids menu is very much needed. We will be back.

We ate here Saturday night. We have eaten here 4 times previously. We had chicken tikka for entrée and lamb korma for main course with rice and garlic naan. We will be back and recommend this restaurant. If you have had hip surgery or have hip issues, regardless of someone's age, the chairs are on an old fashioned 90 degree angle which causes impingement so this needs to be considered before sitting down. We will be back and recommend this restaurant. Nice pleasant willing to please staff. Plenty of free parking on the property.

My partner and I dined at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it the food was great but the service was a bit haphazard I think the wait staff were newbies but very accommodating Would definitely go back there again 👍

Our vegetarian mixed entree was quite nice and generous serve. Chicken madras was nice enough but the mixed vegetable navratan korma was disappointing as it had defrosted carrots peas and beans and only a few other veggies. Why use frozen? You can tell it’s not fresh by texture and flavour and it’s really not cheaper!

This restaurant is a wonderful place to eat. We love Indian food and found the food here quite exquisite. Butter chicken, lamb biryani and palak paneer served with naan all superb. The staff are really friendly and the food was served promptly and nice and hot. The dishes were all perfectly flavoured so that all the taste buds are activated, just the way Indian food should be. If you are within 50 miles of Healesville you need to eat here, it is worth the drive.

We have been a few times over the years and the food here never disappoints. Sadly the building is in need of upkeep but the atmosphere and service is good. Very good value for money.

My wife and I stopped in after a day exploring the Yarra Valley as she loves Indian food. From the outside it was hard to tell if it was open but we parked and went in. A nice lady greeted us. It seemed she and the chef were the only people working but the service was still pleasant. We ordered a chicken and a beef dish, coconut rice and garlic naan bread. The food was incredible! The chef came out and was very gracious and humbleas we showered him with praise. I guess the best compliment we can give is that, if we lived locally, we would be regulars at this hidden gem.

We had a lovely meal here sharing a chicken dish and a prawn dish, served with rice and naan bread. All was served piping hot and the service was good. Water offered as soon as we sat down, then order for drinks taken. When we are in the area again we will visit

Nearly broke my neck on the slippery deck at the entrance, greeted by a waitress that seemed to have absolutely no experience, was pointed to the table and sat for ten minutes before getting asked for a drink, then waited another ten minutes for them to arrive only to be told they were out of the wine and asked how to make a scotch drink, when our entrees arrived the lamb cutlets were charcoal and over well done, we chose to leave after this, when leaving my wife actually fell over on the slippery deck and injured her knee, we are so disappointed as locals and cant see us going there ever again,
