What a lovely cheery welcome as we walked into this local cafe. We were just popping in for a coffee whilst waiting to go to an appointment. Service was swift and super friendly, making us feel right at home. Chai was well flavoured and coffee was really very good. We were farewelled like old friends and would definitely recommend a visit and will ourselves be back when we are next in Healesville.

I cannot recommend this café too highly. I come here often, not only because the food and coffee are great, but also the staff are friendly and helpful, willing to make alterations to dishes on request, and ready to have a bit of a chat, too, if time permits - which it sometimes doesn't, because the place is popular and thus quite busy at times. My basic meal is a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, which is delicious, and includes a generous layer of ham - not the skimpy one or two thin pieces of shoulder ham you might receive in some places, thus ensuring you don't want to go back there again - and (for me, at my request) this comes with a salad which is fresh and crisp, and includes varied items which can vary a bit, presumably depending on what ingredients are available at the time. But I also sometimes have an omelette with a few additions (again with a salad), and a salmon dish, which are equally delicious - and the tortilla (Spanish-style omelette with potato in it) is worth trying, too, when it is available. You are spoilt for choice here. Of course there are many other items available besides these favourites of mine. There is a range of delicious cakes available, and these vary from time to time, but all are very tasty and enjoyable. I do not drink hot drinks, so my experience of coffee here is in the form of iced mocha, and it is simply the best that I know of in Healesville, and one of the very best I have known of anywhere. It comes with ice-cream and cream, which is fairly usual for such drinks in Australia. Since I don't drink hot coffee, I cannot comment directly on this, but I have no reason to doubt that it would be equally as good as the iced form that I drink. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff are much appreciated, too. So, all in all, these features together make for a place that I want to keep coming back to again and again (living locally, thus being able to do this).

Had very late breakfast at Alba Poloma. Young guys waiting on tables were friendly and helpful. I moved from inside to an outside table and it was no trouble at all. Poached eggs on toast was simply presented and cooked to perfection. Enjoyed my cappuccino. Recommended.

Busy at weekends but always efficient and friendly staff. Light meals priced at about tourist level but not excessively so. Menu is interesting and varies occasionally.

Pie was good and service was fast and friendly. The pie was good, not greatHowever, I thought $15 was a tad steep for a pie.

We stopped in yesterday for coffee only and were very pleasantly welcomed on arrival. The coffee was great quality and quickly served, so I ordered a second cup which was also very prompt. These people know what customer service means and even apologised to the customers when a door slammed shut at the back of the kitchen in the wind. It was a lovely to experience attentive, polite and friendly staff, hallelujah! Thank you 😊

Called into Healesville for brunch on a weekend getaway in the Yarra. Finding a popular cafe crazy busy we wandered down the main street and happened on Aiba. What a great find, a family owned business, really friendly and the food and coffee was top notch. We will definately be back when we are next in the area.

There are so many cafes to choose from in Healesville, however my friend and I decided that Alba Paloma looked fairly inviting and it was warm inside! We decided on the pumpkin soup for two and it was delicious. We followed this with a shared sticky date muffin with ice cream. Coffee was very good. The lady who served us was very pleasant even though she was very busy. Good to see they served local wines, and at around $9 a glass, reasonably priced. We came out feeling we had made a very good choice.

Coffee cost $5 and was tiny and burnt, very expensive place and not very good quality. Definitely would not recommend this place to any of my family/friends.

Hi Katie, thank you for taking the time to visit the cafe this weekend. I'm sorry your experience wasn't great. Serving bad coffee is definitely unacceptable and at $5, the price of a large coffee, it certainly shouldn't have been tiny. I will be looking into what happened to make sure it doesn't happen again. I would like to invite you back for a coffee as it should be, you can email me at albapalomahealesville@gmail.com Kind Regards, Michele

Alba Paloma is a fabulous new addition to the café scene of Healesville. Only the best produce is used here to offer all day breakfast, & a wide range of brunch/lunch options all with a little Spanish flair. And of course you can't go past their delicious house baked cakes & outstanding tea/coffee for morning or afternoon tea. You can certainly taste the love that has gone into preparing such scrumptious meals. A warm & inviting café with the friendliest of staff. Michele welcome to the neighbourhood you are definitely on a winner here. I look forward to hearing when the next dinner will be?

Queens Birthday weekend and the Yarra Valley is alive with visitors. A stroll down the Main Street to select a place to have a light lunch, Alba Paloma took our fancy. A very warm and friendly welcome and straight up offer of coffee, mmm. Coffee was CBD quality, something to make a special mention, smooth and strong. Menu simple and very obliging to spice it up on request. Eggs, bacon, paddock mushrooms and an amazing homemade mixed beans for one, the top hat chunky beef pie with a pretty salad and a tomato relish that was amazingly good the highlight dishes. Service was so friendly and the food just right, the chef presentation of food and outfit, befitting a very well run cafe. Highly recommended for a light lunch whilst in Healesville.

When passing through Healsville, we often stop here for brunch or lunch. Staff and always friendly and service is great. Good range of breakfast options including coffee. Love the baked eggs and breakfast roll. Lunch loved the steak sandwich. Kids love the milkshakes and babychino's:)

Tried the new cafe for mother’s dAy breaky, was surprised to pay $27 for a ‘big breaky’ which came with half a chorizo, ONE piece of toast, one egg and one piece of bacon!!! Well over priced for what you get. Was nice food, but not enough for a Bloke

Hi There, thank you for taking the time to review my cafe. I'm sorry you felt your experience wasn't satisfactory, definitely not the aim! Our big brekky consists of sourdough toast with 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, chorizo, hash, tomato and mushrooms if you didn't receive this I would have loved to have been made aware as I would have done something immediately! I would love the opportunity to have you back in the cafe to make up for your less than satisfactory experience. You can email me at albapalomahealesville@gmail.com or come in and and I will look after you... Michele.
