The zuchini fritters with haloumi was beautifully presented and equally enjoyable to taste. Friendly folk running this show and serving perfectly roasted smooth coffee. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful

Just had breakfast here and the food was scummy. I choose the churned avocado with poached eggs, tomato and lemon curd cream cheese all served on toasted sourdough. Sat my self in front of the open fire and the whole experience was great.

Best brekky I've had dining out in such a long time. The Zucchini fritters with haloumi and a side of bacon. YUM! Haloumi was pillowy light and fluffy and a decent serve too. Not like so many other cafes where the norm is to often a sad serve of haloumi where you might hunt and find a tiny rubbery piece under your fritters. Bacon also thick and juicy! Don't start me on their fabulous cappuccino...✅✅✅✅✅👌 Thankyou for a gorgeous tasty meal that was served to us by wonderful engaging staff and its owner. This cafe is a really positive find. I'd drive to Healesville just for this brekky. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Very limited menu for lunch as it's mostly all day breakfasts. We had the Beef brisket but is was inedible. The beef was brittle and seemed to have been reheated a few times. The eggplant and all the other stuff in the roll looked like slop and after only 1 taste we decided to not risk it. Our table looked clean but was very sticky so I guess hadn't been cleaned in a while. The service was OK so that's why I have given 1 star instead of zero.

Hi Terri, thank you for your review. It has given us many ideas to reflect upon to improve our service. There are a couple of things I would like to mention though : We are a brunch destination and advertise our menu on both our website and the front of our venue. If the options did not suit you, that is ok, no venue can cater to every taste. Why did you choose to dine with us if you did not like our menu? The brisket roll comes with eggplant puree. Ask any chef, they will tell you it's almost impossible to make puree look appetising but it is delicious. Our tables (and condiments) are cleaned with a disinfectant/sanitiser blend that leaves a sticky residue. It is covid regulations to use a sanitiser on all surfaces during the current restrictions. If anyone feels they are sitting at a dirty table, I would assume they would ask for the table to be cleaned or at least for an explanation. Every time we are asked, we explain it is the sanitiser and everyone then understands it is needed to run a hospitality venue in these times. Lastly, I cannot understand how you can say you did not eat your lunch. Your waitress asked you how your food was and you gave a dissatisfied grunt. She then offered to change or fix your meals and you dismissed her. You then both ate your meals and left but a few chips. I am not sure what else we could have done to improve your experience. Yes we were not the right venue for you, however you chose to dine with us knowing our menu options, not to mention your partner changed her dish immensely. From what you wrote in your review I don't know why you chose us as you came in expecting something we dont do. We gave you multiple opportunities to enhance your experience but you dismissed them and finished your food without complaint. I would love you to contact me at info@mylittlekitchen.com.au to let us know exactly where we went wrong. Regards Ben Owner MLK

I booked this cafe for brunch as I heard good reviews but was very disappointed and would never return. Upon arriving we were seated in a corner looking at the walls, we waited 30mins for our food (people seated after us had food served and had finished eating before our food arrived) so it wasn’t a case of them just being busy. When our food did arrive the bread was charred to the point of tasting burnt so gave up on eating that and also the potato hash was terrible so didn’t eat that either. While the eggs and bacon were nice it was not worth the $70 price tag of breakfast for two people.

We were a group of 4 for breakfast on Saturday. I chose the House smoked salmon, 2 poached eggs, harissa broth, fried bread, fennel salad, mojo verde, crispy skin and it was amazing! I didn't know what to expect but was not disappointed - the fried bread in the harissa broth with smoked salmon and fennel was delicious! My fellow guests also loved their meals (they built their own breakfast). Thanks for a great experience

We were disappointed with the service and the food. We ordered slow cooked brisket but it was very dry and tough and appeared to be put under a griller. The zucchini fritters were also very well cooked. Very expensive for what we got. I think there would be better places to eat. Also had to ask the wait staff for service a couple of times.

My partner and I were in town looking for time to kill and decided to come in for a feed and stumbled across my little kitchen, sceptical at first as being let down from little cafes in the past. We ordered the steak sanga and eggs on toast with salmon rillet. Simply brilliant salsa verde was to die for was dying for more huge portion of chips and halloumi was perfect. Small wait time, staff were lovely and the place smelled amazing from assuming was the smoker Very, very impressed Well done guys

Wow, just wow! What a gem. We had an amazing dining experience here. Best coffee in Healesville hands down, the food was delicious, the zucchini fritters tasted as good as they looked. Friendly waitstaff and loved the ambience of the courtyard. Can’t wait to get back and try the new laneway dining

This cafe is amazing. I have eaten lots of smashed avo meals but the whipped avo meal was the best I have ever had. Coffee was also delicious and they are really on top of vivid safe practices. Give this place a try, lots of gf options also. Yummy

We were expecting great food in light of all the reviews but sadly we’re very disappointed. My husband had the corn beef meal which was supposed to be a larger serve than the other meal he was considering. It wasn’t a big serving at all and the food was ok, nothing startling, with only a small sliver of corn beef. I had the zucchini fritters and to be honest it was ‘Same, same’ it was salty , the julienne zucchini on top and the beetroot dip on the bottom all just tasted the same. Maybe if it had some crunchy item like ‘apple slaw’ would have given it some flavour. I ate it because I paid for it and hate wasting money….. but it wasn’t good.

Great coffee, big breakfast servings and very good service. We needed a high chair which was promptly provided. The staff were really friendly and by the constant flow of takeaway coffee customers it is very popular with the locals.

Staff were pushy and felt very rushed. Hair found in food and no apology given. Paid over $155 for our meals in total and got told to hurry up because they needed our table. Could have been spoken to politely. Used to visit regularly and recommend others to visit. Have lost me and many others as a customer due to the rude man (presuming manager or owner) with the beard.

The best brunch spot we found in Healesville. Delicious and strong coffee, amazing breakfast options with many house made things like potato hash and smoked salmon, and efficient and professional service. We also appreciated how covid-safe this venue is. Will definitely return.

My Little Kitchen is a lovely family-owned café and a perfect spot for brunch. They’ve got a great menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The food is super tasty and reasonably priced (beef brisket and Zucchini, Mint and Za’atar Fritters/halloumi). The coffee was also fab. Highly recommend!
