Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After being disappointed late last year, tried this pub again. It’s looking very run down and uninviting with rubbish stacked near the front entrance and the garden and entry no longer well kept. Service was mediocre at best. Time for a tidy up and some...staff who care.More

Never fails to disappoint, great location, food and beer. Had many meals here over the years, but latest was the wagyu cheeseburger which was just right, and cooked to perfection. Crafy beers and ice cold Jager to wash it down was nice. Honestly you could...serve rubbish in Harrietville and get away with it, but the Snowline steps up with service and facilities to please all year round. Even on a sleepy Sunday the food and service was faultless.More

This used to be a terrific little family run pub but now seems to be run by backpackers and has definitely lost its vibe. We were asked if we had a “booking” on arrival. It’s the first time I’ve ever been asked this as I...walked into a public bar for drink Meal when we decided to eat was the usual pub grub not a good as past visitsMore

We had heard hype about this hotel serving the best parmas in the area, expectations were high. The parmas are absolutely huge, one would comfortably feed two people. At $30 per Parma perhaps you would want to split one since they are so big. I...would have liked the option for a smaller Parma (so it wasn’t wasted) and more salad on my plate. They were nice, but not best I’ve ever had, perhaps it was the size of the chicken and the less than first rate accompanying sides that let it down too. The chips were a bit soggy and the salad was the worst. The salad portion was tiny and cucumber looked like it had been frozen and gone funny but still had been served. The kids meals were unhealthy, all just chips and the Parma/nuggets ect… I think they should serve salad or veggies in the kids meals, my kids certainly eat that stuff and they missed out making their meal really unhealthy. The venue itself is old but full of old school pub charm. The open fireplace was nice and the wood fire. The tables were sticky pub tables and the chairs a bit rickety.More

Relaxed, casual joint for a tasty pub meal in Harrietville. The burger and fish and chips, plus a beer and a lemonade, hit the spot after a 2 hour cycle from Bright! Kids meals also fine (your classic nuggets and chips, or fish and chips)....Nice outdoor area to enjoy the fresh air, or inside was toasty with a real log fireplace. Not a fancy place, but just good grub!More

Dropped Saturday night for another great meal. Unfortunately it was very uncomfortable due to the footy being played extremely loud in the bar and it carried through to the restaurant. One man was constantly yelling at the TV and swearing. Not nice for the kids....I’m pretty sure he is the owner or manager. He gave a very bad impression of what was once a great pub with amazing atmosphere. This seems to be long gone.More

Love this pub. This is a proper pub. Decor is warm, wood fires warming your sole, plenty of local beverages, great deck, trivia on Tuesday. But the real reason for my review is that the parmi / Parma might be the best I’ve ever had...and I sampled from Wandi Pub and Alpine Hotel on this trip. Why is it so good? The cheese is perfection, great mouth feel, soft and gooey in the middle never rubbery and that nice edge but that goes all crusty and crunchy when it waterfalls off the top when cooking. The tomato sauce was rich and not full of onion bits, and the chicken was thick and juicy and crunchy outside cooked to a caramelised perfection, right before burning. Chips great, salad great, loved the house Prosecco. Best.More

Good service but the food was very average. Saying this we didn’t have pescatarian /vegetarian options so perhaps this review in unfair.

Sensational pub food. Between us we had four different meals- lamb, duck, dahl and vietnamese chicken salad. All were outstanding. We will be back. You will not be disappointed.

We were staying in Bright and looking for good place to eat. I was reading various reviews and was lucky enough to find the reviews for the Snowline Hotel. How right were they. The staff, service and meals are excellent. I had the steak and...my wife had the Vietnamese chicken salad and both meals were exceptional. I highly recommend you eat here if you get the chance.More
