Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent 2 fantastic nights staying at Lavender Hue B and B. Rona was extremely helpful with everything, including a delicious cappuccino, home made scones or croissants for breakfast. Lavender Hue has real old-fashioned charm and the B and B is extremely comfortable and an...easy short drive from Bright. Great for anyone wanting a fantastic base to explore north eastern Victoria. We will definitely be coming back.More

Very warm welcome from Verona who regaled us with her and her husbands' trials starting up their beautiful lavender business. She was a laugh a minute and we enjoyed the fresh from the oven scones with jam, cream and fresh pots of tea. Tranquil spot...to sit and relax. Not a restaurant but lovely for afternoon or morning tea.More

We visited the Tea Room Cafe today and immediately received a warm welcome from Rona. Here you can enjoy the peaceful view of the river from the outside balcony or dine inside. Our disabled son thoroughly enjoyed Rona’s scones with jam and cream while we...enjoyed an English breakfast tea and a coffee. The attention to detail with the tray of food and drinks when it came out was outstanding. Brightly coloured teapots and flowers. Simply beautiful and with Rona’s smile. Afterwards we walked through the beautiful lavender and cottage garden taking in the stunning fragrance wafting through the air. Suitable for all ages. We will definitely be back.More

A visit to the team rooms is a must. Listening to the river talk while enjoying a good old style cup of tea with lavender scones.

What a lovely lady is Verona, who was busily trying to pick her lavender (before the rain came) from the many plants they grow in the gardens - there were bunches drying everywhere! Verona was also putting flowers in the B&B upstairs which she took...us up to see - what a quaint and beautiful place. This was all built by her husband from native timbers, the bark still on the window borders. The lavender scones were delicious, as was the coffee which was very, very good. The deck out the back looking over the river was a perfect location to enjoy our afternoon tea, cool and shaded from sun and rain. The gardens were also beautiful as was the lovely avenue of trees driving in. We would certainly recommend a visit.More

Stayed at this tea room much longer than anticipated- it’s a lovely shady spot by the river with excellent service from the owner, Verona. She was very welcoming and provided us with delicious tea and scones. Had a nice little paddle in the river before...leaving! Great place to call in if passing through or staying in Harrietville.More

My husband and I visit here every year. The owner is the loveliest lady, so friendly and welcoming. She and her husband have built this business up over many years. They have extended out the back with a lovely deck running parralel with the river,...such a lovely spot to sit fora coffee and delicious scones. I use their lavender hand cream which is the nicest I’ve ever had. Such a wonderful place, do yourselves a favour and visit here, it is a little bit special.More

One of the best customer care service we had from Rona @ Lavender hue. Unfortunately the accommodation is available only for a couple , therefore we couldn't stay overnight. So we did a day trip. Had freshly baked lavender scones just out of the oven...with cream and jam , wonderful morning tea at their cafe. The lavender garden was amazing , bees buzzing around you in the sunlit garden with the full of lavender fragrance all around , what more to expect. We were in a very right schedule ,so didn't wait for lunch. But it was worth the visit and will definitely do it again.More

On our annual visit to Bright we always visit Bill and Rona's tearoom. This is a must do. Apart from the quirky shop, wonderful lavender scones and beautiful surrounds, you are served a bright, bouncy dose of Rona. Rona knows how to bring joy into...everyone's lives. We have seen Rona dance with an elderly lady with dementia, help children with disabilities, calm down grumps and serve her sunshine to everyone. Rona's travel stories are legendary. She is so engaging that schools have visited her as a motivational tool for their students. Bill has built the entire complex from scratch. Truly a wonderful experience.... oh and if you just want to sit and enjoy the beauty you will be left in peace to do so. Unforgettable!More

This is such a beautiful place. Having a coffee here surrounded by the peace of a babbling river & fragrant flowers is a really wonderful experience. Rona is a treasure & it's worth going just for her company! The store is stacked with wonderful gift...which are almost all fair-trade & ethically sourced, with Rona's magical Lavender products tying the pretty displays together. Please pop in and at least have one of her amazing biscuits, they're the most wonderfully buttery and crumbly pieces of deliciousness I've ever had. All in all, it's the perfect escape & I couldn't recommend it more.More

Verona is the perfect hostess and made us feel very welcome and special. She has such an infectious warmth and sense of humour. Her lavender scones are scrumptious (ditto the savoury scones). Morning tea beside the river is the perfect setting. The shop has great...lavender products and other gifts. A highlight of our visit was a walk through the sensory garden and the beautiful Japanese wisteria curtain. Thank you for a memorable visitMore

'Food is food' is my motto in life so I do not get carried away by the need to be distracted from my day because of it. Just eat and move on. What does get my juices flowing though is the experience that food can...sometimes give, not of itself but through the meeting of extraordinary people. Your host here, Rona, is one such extraordinary person and once met you will count her your friend for life. She is that exuberant, generous soul that lifts your spirits for just being in her presence. Time stands still to the will of this person and every minute spent in her company is a precious reminder that there really are good souls in the world and you now know one of them.More

We visited Lavender Hue for a talk about the farm and morning tea. Host Verona was an absolute scream! Her life story, and how she and her husband came to set up the farm and B&B held our group spellbound. There are some great items...to buy and a lovely setting alongside the river. It would be best to visit with a group to get "the talk", but this morning will long remain in our memory.More
