The staff had a line down the street as they were just serving in difficult circumstances in the door way and calling to the staff the orders to make. It was worth the wait as i got a sundae with banana and 2 scoops of ice-cream with wafer cream and topping. BEAUTIFUL. My wife had a twin cone with white chocolate and berries and she said it was very nice. Thank you for the friendly service.

So many flavours of Ice-cream and reasonable prices! I have heard that there is usually a bit of a line up especially on hot days. But definitely worth the line up if there is one. Service was fast and efficient as the system they use in there is just fantastic. Ice-cream just tastes so fresh and delicious.
Only thing they could improve on would be staying open past 7pm to get the customers who are looking for something for dessert in Halls Gap

Had to wait in a COVID compliant queue due to immense popularity - but worth it! Double scoops in waffle cones. Some of the flavours seem soft serve while others are hard ice-cream but my guess is this relates to the flavour type. Some mixes would be more conducive to freezing than others. In any case, the white chocolate and raspberry under hokey pokey worked a treat. My wife enjoyed her Irish cream on chocolate fudge brownie and we'd both go back again. Prices were a bit higher than expected so treating the whole family could be a shock.

Tried handmade waffle cone and a few flavours of ice cream and I'm impressed. The ice cream was really nice, especially salted caramel flavour and irish bailey flavours. Other flavours I tried were rum and raisin, and white choc and strawberry. I found the latter a bit too sweet and the rum and raisin had a little hard/too frozen bits that I didn't quite like.
Two generous scoops on a handmade waffle cone costs $7.50 (a dollar or so cheaper on a normal waffle cone). The price is good considering the creamy icecream and the location (where they'd mark it up specially for tourists).

Not passionate about ice cream usually but these are gorgeous. The kids dragged us there and I had a child’s chocolate fudge brownie, while my 11-year old had my adult serve! OMG it was so nice. Went back in the evening for a rum ‘n’ raisin!
The place was busy but we got served quickly and the frontage is spacious with seating. Would def go again 😜

We had the pleasure of spending 8 nights in Halls Gap and Coolas Ice Creamery became our afternoon stop over. Partner loved all the flavours she tried, but the Rum and Raisin was the best she has ever had. In fact she had it every time. They also make a good coffee. Beware of the local birds while enjoying your ice-creams. Partner had a Rosella parrot on her chest and running around her shoulders trying to share the ice-cream with her. She loved it. Saw a kookaburra fly down and take a pastry out of someones hand in full flight, they weren't as happy.
There can be quite a long queue at times but partner says "well worth the wait"

The converted position of best icecream in town is taking a knock with Gelato Guys opening up just down the street. Tried them both, and the Gelato just has the better flavour. Coolas still as a place, but the queues can be off putting.

The ice cream is pretty nice, plus they also do coffee, hot dogs and some other items. During summer there is almost always a bit of a queue with no shade. We waited 20 mins to get to the front on the day we went.
So whilst this is the popular ice creamery in Halls Gap, there is a new one a few doors down that we preferred.

Love icecream from here. We tried so many different flavours and yes, let the kids have icecream dessert for breakfast. The staff were lovely considering how busy they were. Would definitely recommend getting icecream from here.

This is a place we always visit when coming to Halls Gap. Surely the best I’ve cream we’ve ever had. This holiday time it was crazily busy and there was always a queue in the hot sun, yet still with the wait. It will be helpful if they can organise their system better to reduce the wait

Kids and I lined up on socially distanced markers to order waffle cones.
Undeterred by the wet and miserable conditions, my lads used the time
to debate their choice for 2 ice cream scoops.
Lots of fun, great service and deliciously gobbled down.
A Halls Gap institution.

After seeing the line up here over the past few days decided to give it a try after having home made ice cream & sorbet down the road.
Thought it must be amazing with the amount of people lined up the last couple of days but nope just an ordinary ice cream shop. High light was the birds coming in to share your ice cream with 😂😂

When you are walking down the main street in Halls Gap and you see this long line waiting to be served at a couple of windows. You think this must be good! We it was and it was worth the 10 minutes in line. The selection is great and the ice cream was some of the best we have had for a long time. Great for kids and adults alike.

The best ice cream a person can have at Halls Gap. People lined up out the door and down the footpath waiting to buy a ice cream. Generous scoops and home made waffle cones yummy.

Bit of a Halls Gap necessity to pop by Coolas.
Even though 10 am needed to join a queue.
Cheeky cocky interested nearby.
Waffle cones with various flavour scoops.
Kids happy .. of course it’s full of sugar and creamy fat ! .. enjoy
