If you enjoy really good Asian food, at very reasonable prices, you must eat at Ginseng in Frankston. The menu is extensive, the service is excellent; attentive, but not intrusive, and the ambience is just what you want for a pleasant dining experience. It has become a neighbourhood favourite.

The food was pretty good. Loved the seafood entrees. There was a group of us wanting cocktails and we were well catered for. If you park around the back you'll get to walk through the kitchen.

We had a great meal here with friends and there is nothing to dislike about the restaurant. It is not in a dodgy area of Frankston but there were certainly a few dodgy characters walking by. Of course this is not the fault of the restaurant just the position near to a cheap pizza chain which is quite grotty. Back... More

We have been coming here for years and can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. It is usually busy as the food and service are excellent. The menu is very extensive and is well priced with good portion sizes.

Easy access to the restaurant from Nepean Hwy or round the back Menu has clean crisp serves with delightful flavours. Attentive staff and all were well mannered and willing to assist with selection.

We had a fantastic work break up at Ginseng. We gave them very little notice 16 of us would be attending and they were fantastic at catering to all dietary. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Eggplant chips are a definite must have, all 16 meals were delicious and couldn't be faulted. Thank you

Being a Malaysian Chinese,i am pretty dissapointed. Service was excellent but food was dissapointing. Its a pity how others were 'enjoying' but its NOT authentic and flavour sucks...they need to go to Asia..lol.To be fair, its difficult to get good Asian food in Frankston. I ordered Malaysian spicy prawn...my gosh,it was just chilli and tomato ketchup with prawns..Sweet sour pork was fine... More

Late Sunday lunch with the family. White tablecloths, positioning themselves up market from the average Chinese eatery. Food all in all was pretty good, a nice varied menu with what appears to be extra care in the kitchen. Service all in all was good except for a grumpy waiter/barman (who knows he may have owned the place) who was telling... More

Having lived half my life in the Far East and SE Asia I'm always instinctively wary of restaurants in Australia/UK that offer a mix of Asian cusine. I should have trusted those instincts and spent a little more time researching Chinese restaurant options along the Peninsula before hastily committing to a reservation for 3 at Ginseng. As the other two... More

Extensive Menu, excellent food and customer service. Nice touches like a hot towel at the end of the meal.
