Appauling. Let me start by saying, I understand lunch time is a busy period. But what I don’t understand is how the sheer layer of condescension we experienced from a staff member is meant to promote a wholesome and enjoyable dining experience. We came in...as a family of 7, asked if they could accommodate us. We got raised eyebrows and then a lady said with a highfalutin tone ‘I think outside would be PERFECT for you all’. And handed us menus. We were told we would be brought in when there was somewhere we would fit.
So then we were outside. There was no suitable arrangement to sit at because it was covered in water. If you are going to send a group outside, at least ensure it is suitable before doing so. One good point was at least; the young waiter came out after about 30 minutes to wipe down the table and chairs for us.
Might I add, after 10 - 15 mins of waiting, there was a large table only seating 2 people at the end of a large table (where we could have fit) which we saw when we were going to the toilets. We eventually got brought inside approx 20 mins after we got our food which was already cold at the time.
Menu: the food is overpriced and average tasting. It was not tasty, and the salad was old and tasted stale.
What we were also taken aback by was that the staff were folding laundry on one of the dining tables and talking amongst themselves instead of being attentive to the patrons of the cafe.
Overall, an unpleasant, expensive experience. Save your money.More
