Previously dined at Bam Bams and not once been disappointed. Won't go over the nit picking bits of previous times because that is what they were. Hard to fault but there was room to improve just the same.
We dined again in late November 2021 and had a private room which kept out noise from other diners and some children. It was a very pleasant experience that fact alone.
The meal itself was just excellent. Not tasted a better pizza and I've read through the reviews of others and all I can say is they must've come on an off night. Staff were really good too and did not hover around the table like vultures nor tried to hurry you out. They made an enjoyable meal an overall great experience. If you like good dining then this is the place to go. You might think the cost of drinks might be a bit pricey and maybe the same for the meals too, but I have to say I walked out not feeling I'd been skinned at all. Felt I'd paid for a great meal and I'll be back again.

Such a fantastic hidden gem. The service and food are both fantastic. Such rare care given to dietary requirements without compromising on taste. I’ve been gluten free for more than 20 years and this was the best pizza I’ve ever had - can’t wait to go back

BamBam has led the charge to bring better local food to the hills. A seasonal menu with distinction and variety that is suitable for couples, friends or families. A clever restaurant layout that separates those with kids from those without creates the atmosphere. The pizzas are Italian thin and the rest of the menu always has something appealing to offer. Local staff add charm and good local wines round it out.

First time visiting after reading a lot of positive reviews on this place as a family dining experience.
Would I try again? Probably. The play area was fantastic for little ones and it was in view of almost all tables. Perfect set up.
However.. it's a family restaurant with a hint of "a little bit TOO fancy". Taking kids out is stressful and this place just heightens that stress. The come and tell you all of the specials and describe each meal in depth. Just hand over a piece of paper and walk away please, it is NOT enjoyable nor warranted to stand there with two whining kids reeling off all of the specials on offer. Or describing the dip of the day and how the garlic was slow roasted for 2 hours.
The meals were maybe a 5/10. The pasta was clearly from a packet and had that gluggy texture. The servings were small and only had one side with it (white beans in my case) and I was not full. Garlic pizza is a family favourite for us and unfortunately, it was definitely not a favourite this time. It had potential, however the pizza was sloppy and the cheese used just didn't work. It had a strong after taste and left much too much in the palette.
The kids menu seemed to have more options than the main menu and the prices were at a very exuberant cost. An overhaul is well needed to accommodate a more modern and enjoyable menu.
Overall, it was just okay. Much room for improvement but the play area here was the saviour of the day.

Our family has been eating at BamBams for 5+years, we went there for dinner last night. All 15 of us walked out due to being informed that they could not cater to dietary requirements of some our quests due to not giving the restaurant advance notice. We have never been advised of this previously, we tried to communicate this with the staff. We found them to somewhat confused themselves, combative and rude. They actually laughed at us :-( Won't be back.

AMAZING food. The arancini and chocolate mousse were to die for, and the capricciosa pizza was one of the most authentic I have had outside Italy. Reasonable price considering the quality. Beautiful atmosphere; sells geniune Italian pasta in the takeaway section. Definitely recommend.

Visited as group of 4 adults Wed 8th Jan. Waiting staff very pleasant and obliging.finding us a table away from families obviously enjoying their night out in an area designed for just that.. Sadly, that was where it finished . food was very basic in offering and presentation. Way over priced for what was on offer and flavour wise,a disaster. Sorry, but never again. Graham and Dianne

My wife and I dined at Bam Bam and both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The pizza was fantastic, one of the best we have eaten. The other dish we tried was Three Little Pigs and it was amazing. Serves are generous.
The service was also first rate.
I must also comment on the very thorough cleaning protocols for Covid 19.
A very pleasant surprise to find this quality of restaurant in the Emerald area.

I can’t give high enough stars for this place. We went as a family with a 2 year old. All families with children were down one end of the restaurant where an amazing play ground was undercover outside.
If you went as a couple or didn’t want to sit near families the kitchen is in between the 2 dining areas.
Food was amazing. Fresh home cooked. Something for everyone. Pizzas huge.
Service was the best I’ve experienced in a long time happy friendly staff. Not too pushy but were there when we needed them.

I am surprised to read a couple of poor reviews - including one who complained that only craft beer was on offer! Maybe should stick to pubs and have parmas and pots. Went for lunch in a party of five and all agreed it was a great experience with excellent food and ambience. Nice staff, well designed layout, attractive furniture and facilities. This has been a courageous investment for someone and it deserves support. It’ll definitely get us again!

At really short notice, due to the caterer for my 60th birthday dinner contracting Covid two days before my event, Bam Bam came to the rescue with their Restaurant at Home catering service. Despite usually requiring five days notice they were able to provide two diverse courses ( entree and main course) of wonderful food for my party. We chose three entrees and two main meals and four vegetable and salad sides and they were all amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and fourteen guests. For entree we had lemon chilli chicken bites, arancini balls and hot smoked salmon and beetroot relish canapés. Main course consisted of Osso bucco, oregano chicken ( both slow cooked and mouth watering and totally delicious) with sides of root vegetable salad, char grilled broccolini, thyme roasted potatoes and sweet potato and cauliflower salad. Everything to dress the salad and garnish the main meat courses was supplied. Full instructions for heating, garnishing and dressing salads were given . The food was the same food served in the wonderful restaurant but heated and served at home. The serves were extremely generous and we were eating the leftovers for a couple of days after. The food was the highlight of the party and everyone commented on how amazing it was. Thanks and appreciation to Tara and Arthur who went out of their way to help me out of a very difficult situation. I have always enjoyed eating at Bam Bam but now am highly recommending their Restaurant at Home catering if you want very special food to your next large dinner party.

We absolutely love the food from Bam Bam! Everything we have ordered has been delicious from the cabbage slaw to the grilled & fried calamari to their pizzas! I’m not a huge fan of pasta but I love the way Bam Bam always has one dish which is about half pasta half incredible veg! Currently this is the green goddess pasta and it’s so delicious! Highly recommend this Italian gem in the hills :)

Had a first class meal with the tribe and could not fault the meals, the waiting staff or the facility. The background music however could have been a fraction quieter so you could talk without having to raise your voice and the air conditioner might have been a bit more on, but this is nitpicking. The alcohol is a bit pricey which might be a good thing when having to leave and drive home.
This is the restaurant where celebrities and people who want a quality meal and drink go. There is no riff raff nor the hoi polloi. A restaurant for all and places for children to play without annoying other customers. You can also order take away and it did a good trade with that during our visit.
You probably pay a little more than other places but I left feeling that it was worth it. Don't mind paying extra when you get the sort of meals we had. Just first class dining and the right size portions. Worth going back to again, and again. If the cost is a bit of an issue do some saving and you won't be sorry.
