A lovely spot for a Long Sunday lunch overlooking olive groves extending out to Queenscliffe. Meals were very appealing to the eye and tasted just as great. We intend to return in the future.

The range and taste of the food was wonderful, the service was fantastic, and the setting is very pleasant. One of us has very particular dietary requirements and they bent over backwards to make sure it was all ok. Definitely recommend it as a destination...for a special meal.More
This is a seriously good restaurant, that stands out from the many above average eateries on the Bellarine. Choice of two fixed price options, we opted for the less expensive one. We were treated to one of the best meals I have had anywhere in...the last several years. A great selection of shared entrees and mains meant we experienced 5 dishes, each of which was outstanding. Plenty of food, so we made the right choice in not selecting the more expensive option, although I would have loved to try the other dishes too. Wines were pricey, but in line with expectations these days. Staff and service were all great, but really its all about the food. Suggest you book now before the secret gets out!More
We cannot remember the last time we ate a dinner this good! Neither have we had such service that was so attentive and knowledgeable… compliments to the chef and Caleb!
Merne is where Loam used to be. There is no lighthouse, it's not on the coast. You can see water in the far distance but don't go expecting to be near water !. The staff are exceptionally professional and friendly. We chose the four course...menu at $105 PH. It seemed a lot more that four courses and I thought it was exceptionally good value. The wine list is excellent and not overpriced and although there is not a matched wine offering they are happy to suggest wine pairings and offer half a glass if you like. My favourite dish was the kangaroo ( not something I would normally eat). Presentation was beautiful and every dish delicious. Highly recommended.More
This venue was superb in every way. The food, The atmosphere, the incredible surrounds, and most of all the service.
So pleased to have come across this hidden gem when planning a special birthday lunch. I could not fault anything about the atmosphere, service, cuisine and wine. Staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was so delicious - a wonderful combination of flavours. The grazing/share...style was so enjoyable as we got to experience a range of dishes over the course of the afternoon. We were advised that it was the first day of a new menu and we felt that the chef had "hit the mark" with his selections. Definitely a restaurant I am recommending to my friends and one that I would love to enjoy again.More
The food and explanation of all the local produce was great. There is such a nice ambience to this restaurant. We went for dinner so didn't get to appreciate the view, but the venue had a great vibe
Merne is truly a very special dining experience. Food is remarkable. Beautifully presented and delicious. A treat for the taste buds! Gorgeous scenery. Lovely and warm with an open fireplace. Sharon and Caleb are such lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They, and...all staff, are so friendly and hard working. I can honestly say this is my favourite restaurant. Thank you so much. The chef is gold!More
I was disappointed with some of the dishes. The flavours of the the Brussel sprouts and roast beef clashed and were overpowering. We also felt the portions for sharing were small. Unfortunately, I would rather spend my $300 for 4 of us, not including drinks...elsewhere. One of the waitresses could do with more training.More
Absolutely the best set menu grazing style meal we have ever had. Set in a picture perfect landscape. They service was friendly and professional.
Had a great lunch - the food was lovely. Casual and friendly service. Nice look out over olive groves too.
This is one of places that sounds great and, as it turns out, is even better! We had a brilliant lunch - four entrees and two mains - in a glass-walled dining room with views over the olive tress and beyond to vines, Queenscliff and...the Mornington Peninsula. We've decided to make this an annual pilgrimage!More
Visited for lunch yesterday. Staff were welcoming and attentive. We opted for the ‘two course’ option but this was so much more than two courses. First course consisted of house grown olives and bread and three more dishes. We opted for the trout and slow...cooked lamb shoulder as our shared mains, each served with a side. Both were outstanding, so beautifully prepared and presented. We were bursting but had to try the dessert (we shared two between the four of us) of orange and olive oil cake, a beautiful chocolate mousse, biscuit and tangy sorbet. All of this with amazing views of the olive grove and the land and water beyond. We will definitely be back.More
We had a lovely lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the shared plate experience. The dishes were full of flavour with beautiful fresh ingredients. We loved the inventive way they used vegetables. The upside of Covid restrictions meant the dining area was relatively quiet with plenty of...space between tables. The view from our table was stunning. The staff were attentive and friendly. They topped off a great experience.More
