We had dinner here on the recommendation of our motel host who said it was the best fish on the peninsula. The flake and flathead were battered and cooked to order and was super fresh. We ordered a minimum serve of chips and it was generous enough to feed the two of us!

We were really happy with our takeaway from here. The fried flake was pretty much the best I’ve ever tasted. Beautifully battered and cooked. Everything else - potato cakes, dim sims, scallops etc - was great except the chips weren’t quite top draw. It’s a really good place though and we’ll certainly return again.

Overall this place serves good fish and chips. We use it as our local when we are at our beach house in Dromana. Have been here quite a few times and the food has been consistent each time. A couple of times the flake has been a bit dry, but on most occasions it is fine. The fish size is generous. The chips are actually quite good - have never been too oily. Potato cakes are average so we stay away from those. Fried Dim Sims are good as are the Corn Jacks. Have not tried a phone order but we like to eat early so we get there and order about 5:30 and are eating at home usually by about 6:00pm. We will continue to return there regularly.

Its not fancy. You cant eat here. Its just a good old fashion fish and chip shop. You go in, you order, you wait.
The fish is fresh. My children claim these are the best chips on the peninsula - i would have to trust them as, unlike them, I haven't tried too many.

Absolutely best fish and chips in Dromana and I’m a local. I highly recommend them. I am so pleased every time I go there. Thanks because there’s nothing worse than not having a great local fish and chip shop

omg i got my food and picked it up went home and as soon as i cut the bit of flake up from the junior pack there was 3 bits of hair in it and im like wtf is this so i just wanted to let you guys know about my experience.

I’ll keep it short. This is the best Fish & Chips in Victoria. Crisp chips. A light crisp tempura type batter on the fish. Simple & totally delicious.

This is the second time we have bought fish and chips from Lucky Catch and they are the best fish and chips we have ever had on the Mornington Peninsula, well done Lucky Catch !!!

For the second time now we rang on a Friday night to order fish and chips. For the second time now, they estimated 15-20 minutes. For the second time now, the actual time was more than 45 minutes. There won’t be a third time. There are lots of local choices. Try somewhere else.

The grandkids were hungry after there swim so l called in and purchased flake and chips and also potato cakes. It was enjoyed
by everyone the best on beach road. There was nothing left for the sea gulls

We had ordered over the phone as usual very polite
There was a 25 min wait which is meaning it’s getting to that time of year where it’s getting busy tourist seasons
Anyway we had amazing value for money , s real family can eat the family pack and fill their plates up !!
Our photo shows full plates but we did add the 2 Extra dimsims and tartare sauces

I got the Fisherman's Basket and it was really yummy and the scallop was huge! I will definitely be eating from here again when in the area. Customer service was really good as well.

Ok lets make this one to the point. It was good. Saturday evening, prompt, friendly and efficient service.
Ordered minimum chips and two flakes. Chips were tasty but were minimum, fish was big and meaty.
No complaints, nicely cooked, not to much salt and done reasonably quickly.
