Rocco’s Burger Cafe is a family owned business. We opened our doors in January of 2014, with the goal of providing a unique experience through our customer service & the quality of our food & beverages. We encourage our team to love what they do & to project their distinctive personalities into the workplace to create a friendly & welcoming atmosphere, that makes coming to Rocco’s a special experience. Our gourmet cafe-style breakfast is served daily until 3pm alongside our fortnightly specials menu & our extensive list of burgers are available all day. Our entire menu caters gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian & vegan options & our Rocco’s award winning, signature blend of coffee is grown, roasted & blended for us, & us only! As we continue to grow, we remain loyal to this winning formula & we look forward to your on-going support.

Big breakfast today!

I ordered a big breakfast with orange juice for more than $40. The tasting is like the looking. The fried oil been used on the food tasted a bit old. The bacon is ok but the sausage slices feels strange. If I have to come back next time, I wouldn’t order this big breakfast again:-)

Great Burgers. The Southern

Great Burgers. The Southern Chicken style burger is very, very good. Kids had the regular (plain) burger which were also excellent. Ample parking at the side on Service Road to Maroondah Hwy. Staff were friendly. Can’t fault it for a quick burger stop on the way through to the Yarra Valley and beyond.

Great service and Great food !

I have given a bad review for this place previously. However my wife loves burgers and her birthday was coming up, So I decided to book this place in advanced. We had a 4 person table booked outside with a high chair. I was impressed by the service I received today. They even had a drawing book with colour pencils for the little one and that kept him busy along with the passing vehicles. The service was very prompt and courteous and the burgers were very tasty. The sweet potato wedges were nice and the california burger I had was yummy. We really liked the food we received and the service too. Will definitely come again.

Don't know what has gone wrong with this place but on Saturday the hamburgers were terrible. Meat in my burger tasted watery and had no texture at all, the pulled pork one my wife had was that bad she couldn't eat it. Chips were fine but that's all. I also don't like them using a wooden platter as a plate, they can't possibly clean it properly and it feels like you are eating from the previous persons plate. Just use a standard plate, I prefer clean to trendy. For one of the most expansive burger in town I would expect a perfect burger.

Bad service and food.

The attitude of the staff member taking the order was not good at all. No surprise, she messed up our order and got poached eggs instead of scrambled. The quality of food too was not good.

The most overpriced Chai ever

Ate at Rocco’s with the family. The RBC burger was great, large and tasty. Chips very ordinary. Latte also good. Chai was so overpriced, in fact the most I have every paid in Australia and more expensive than Singapore or Hong Kong! Flavour was good but pot size too small for the price. I also wasn’t told about all the extra charges. In fact charged for extras I didn’t order. Upon paying, I was asked how everything was and I explained about the chai cost. Very overpriced establishment. YOMG for burgers in my opinion is much better value.

Hello there! Thank you for your honest review, upon looking at the picture of your receipt that you have uploaded, I can immediately see an issue with what you have been charged for. I’d firstly like to apologise for the fact that you have been over charged, reasoning being which I can also see from the receipt and date, that you have been served by our newest staff member who is still in training and seems to have made a slight mistake! Unfortunately this can happen with all new staff as they all have to start somewhere and there is A LOT to learn, I hope you can understand this. Our brewed sticky chai in a pot is charged at $7.50 and comes standard with a beaker of honey on the side. It is NOT made with regular chai tea bags and is brewed in a very specific way that takes an exact time of 7 minutes to make which is how you got that great flavour you mentioned. The mistake our new staff member has made is that he has charged you for a ‘strong’ option and an add on ‘honey’ which should be standard and not charged extra. I can see he has also charged $0.50 for the soy milk in which I can only hope that you did ask for. This has bought your chai to a whopping total of $8.50! As mentioned, I apologise for the oversight and can confirm that the new staff member has now since been updated on the procedure and pricing of this item, along with others to be safe! I would also like to mention that this is a specific specialised chai tea that we offer however we do also have a regular chai spiced latte served for $4.5 if you are just after a basic cheaper option. I would hope that you one day return to us for a more positive experience, if that does happen please do ask for a supervisor and mention this so we can give you a brewed sticky chai on the house! Thanks again!

Lunching in Croydon

There were only 3 in our group and our waiter was quick to deliver our menus and complimentary water. He took the urgent orders for drinks and returned to take our meal orders. Burgers and chips are the staples for this cafe but there were alternatives if you did not hunger fir a burger. The sweet potato wedges were excellent. Coffee was also great. Good food, reasonable prices and attentive service. Perfect.

Great local spot!!

Rocco's never disappoints! I've been there a few times now, the burgers are amazing & they cater for vegetarians/vegans. Sunday I had a bun less burger & added a bunch of extras, the presentation & services was spot on :)

Great local cafe.

Nice local cafe serving up good quality food and great coffee. Their burgers are awesome as is the fried sweet potato. I had the Captain America which was huge and yummy. I tried their "Magic" coffee which is intense, deep flavoured without the bitterness. My only complaints with this place is the venue acoustics. Noise levels inside can get very bad making it difficult to chat. And they are a little pricy. Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars.

The burgers here are big and delicious and messy. The chips are top notch. The meals are really filling and delicious. Roccos is a rare gem out in Croydon North. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
