We had a very average breakfast... half way through I noticed a thick black hair... most likely from one of the chiefs beads! I couldn’t finish my meal felt sick! I mentioned to the waitress there was a “I’m very sorry” from her but .....I’m...sorry that’s really NOT good enough!More

Becndales was the beginning of a cultural revolution for food and beverage in Croydon. Bringing the best ingredients together with fantastic chefs and even better service, they have been consistently great for years.

Pre Croydon Cinema lunch and we couldn’t get a park on the Main Street so made our way to the cinema carpark and walked looking for an interesting eatery. Our first stop was Bekendales and with the seating outdoors being full of patrons we decided...to venture inside. The interior is well laid out with booths, tables and high tables with stools. The menu was ideal and we both liked that we could build my our own breakfast. I chose poached eggs on sour dough, potato rosti and haloumi. My daughter had just the sour dough with pulled pork, feta and rosti. Wow. Couldn’t fault our meals. Portion size was good. Taste nice and light. For drinks we had a chocolate shake and I had the berry smoothie. Service was great. Staff very efficient, helpful and always with big smiles. A refreshing addition to the Croydon dining scene. Notes: not wheelchair accessible except if you’re dining outside. Kid friendly. Good parking at the rear of the cafe.More

Went one day and was told to take a seat and someone would take our order. After 20 min and trying to get someone we were told they wouldnt be long? 10 min later we left. Went again to give it another try. Had the...museli. It was OK nothing special. Chose it as there wasnt much on th menu that was normal? so to speak. Plenty if your Vegan or vego. Coffee was average and luke warm and the staff dint make you feel at home. Quite cold bordering rude. Wont be going back.More

Not an overly authentic shakshuka but damn was it tasty! At $18 the serving was perfect too. Service was pretty good, atmosphere was ok. But I'd come back for the food for sure.

Great coffee and great food. Staff are very obliging. Have been coffee-ing here since it first opened. It's in the old State Savings Bank in Main Street Croydon. So much better when they opened the licensed area. They also have a brewery just around the...corner. Owner is very enterprising and good to chat.More
