Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Indicated hours don't match the ingrown reality. Arrived at 2.10pm on a Saturday to find the place shut. Have ammended opening times. Ironic that in a town that relies on tourist trade shuts early on a weekend. Provided plenty of trade for other local cafes...though!More

Very nice bakery. Good food and great coffee. However, when I visited there were no tables and chairs inside or outside. There is plenty of room for tables and chairs. When I asked for a chair, answer was “no”. Then I was told to go...to the park. It calls itself a “cafe and bakery”. Will never go there again.More

Good selection of cakes, buns and slices. Good coffee and tea. Friendly staff. Tables inside and out front. Both the vanilla slice and chocolate eclair we had were tasty. A take away cinnamon bun and coffee scrolls for morning tea at the caravan park on...another day went down a treat.More

Normally eat homemade pasties , which are very good. Bakery where most visitors tend to visit when in Clunes. Very well patronised on weekends.

"Always good for a pie and coffee after a walk around the market" said Trev as we walked in. Today was busy but not full so Trev grabbed a table while I checked the pies. Only a couple in the warmer and a few being...brought out from the pizza oven. I went back to the table and asked Trev to just get me whatever there was as there did not seem to be a great selection. He returned - "They have been very busy and keep running out of hot food so got you a curry". "Yum, enjoyed the curry last time but, it's market day and cold so no excuses for running out" I said as I eagerly tucked in. O'Hara's, you might have been busy and kept running out but you would be better not serving luke warm pies with undercooked pastry. Flavour very good. Trev's was the same but he was starving and didn't care. We ate quickly as didn't have to wait until cooled, but then waited ages for the coffee to arrive. Coffee hot, pies cold. Flavours all good. Might we suggest that if the pies are not ready, do not offer them for sale and say nothing. Be honest, maybe "Sorry, we have run out but have some more on. They are about ..... minutes away". It's not hard. We would have understood and tried one of the pastries instead. Unfortunately, the ratings reflect this visit only, but we know you can do much better with offering a hot, cooked Aussie pie.More

This bakery was at the far end of the street and unlike the others which had many customers this place was quiet. We only wanted take away coffees and a snack so thought I would order at the non busy place at the quiet end...of the street and spread the love and money amongst the businesses trying to make a living. No almond milk. Only soy or normal! Nothing gluten free in the bakery! What a shame. Went to Widow Twankys the busier place and had a lovely almond mocha and a gluten free macadamia cheesecake! In this day and age eateries really need to get with the program and offer a greater choice!More

Very unpleasant and unfriendly service! My daughter and I were met by a sour looking woman with a seriously bad attitude. The order was completely wrong. We asked for Chicken salad sandwiches, not ham! We let this go but when my daughter was served up...a cappuccino after asking for a flat white and my decaf latte failed to turn up at all, my daughter took the cappuccino back and had to argue with the same woman about the order! This woman then cane over with my latte but told me we hadn’t paid for it when we had. After explaining to get that they obviously got the order wrong she took my latte away. At this point I told this rude cretinous woman that we won’t be returning! No I won’t be returning and won’t be recommending this bakery/cafe! By the way, we were regulars to this place but never again after this! There are plenty of other cafes run by people who are more civil!More

My wife and I called at Clunes for something to eat while travelling from Melbourne to Maryborough, and we liked the appearance of this very attractive small cafe/bakery. Our steak pie, Quiche Lorraine, vanilla slice, apple turnover, and coffees were all excellent and we recommend...O'Hara's to travellers.More
