Visited here for the first time for a stress free breakfast with my wife.
We were greeted by person I assume is the manager, he was polite and friendly and welcoming... Always a good start! 😁 We signed the Covid19 register and were seated promptly. The dining area was clean and comfortable, our waiter was attentive and friendly.
The coffee was good and served as we requested... Hot!
We shared the Big breakfast, the scrambled eggs were fluffy and moist the toast was good as were all the accompaniments, all in all a good dining experience, the price was moderate which is good as well 😊
We will definitely visit again possibly to try out the lunch menu.

I was fortunate enough to take a friend here for lunch mid lockdowns this year. In the midst of a whole lot of new regulations on cafes and restaurants the information on booking, arrival and during our meal were presented in a friend;y and efficient way by the cafe. We booked knowing that we wouldnt be able to stay and chat for ours like in the past as their indoor seating was limited. The manager was very friendly and we in no way felt pushed out and were happy to support the business and let them seat other patrons that were also keen to have lunch here.
I ordered the Croque Madame, and it didnt dissapoint. The coffee was also perfect.
Hope they can hold tight during these difficult times as we will definitely be back once allowed.

Large cafe with pleasant ambiance. Sunday brunch: 90% full so service friendly but a little slow. Food creative and tasty; review the menu carefully, then pick the Croque Monsieur - it is superb. Also had GF bread with a mix of sides to create a delicious GF brekkie. Coffee was good, plus they serve real green tea in a pot. Could well become our go-to Sunday cafe from now on.

We have been regulars here since we came across it when it first opened. We had always been extremely happy with the food, menu options and service.
On a recent visit which happened to be for my 50th Birthday, it was very disappointing. Firstly the menu change is very uninspired. Couldn’t see anything interesting like the old menu and nothing especially french at all. Very basic run of the mill cafe options.
Our children asked for a Coke Zero or similar and were told they didn’t have it. My daughter who is vegetarian ordered eggs on toast with spinach and mushrooms (due to very limited vegetarian options) and was brought her food with sausages on the plate.Huge no no!!!
My son ordered crepes which were a runny mess and just 3 folded crepes with a mountain of ice cream and a few half strawberries. Not worth the money.
The service given to us by a new young girl and maybe the owners wife was pretty awful. Miserable faces and total lack of knowledge. Sloppy, almost non existent service.
I’m sad and sorry because this was a promising french inspired eatery which could have easily had a tremendously successful evening trade.
Now it’s just eggs on toast with worse than average service like everywhere else.

Hi Ruth, We are very sorry to hear about experience on your recent visit. I am sure you would agree that this is not our standards as you have experienced many times on your previous visits. Along with some staff issues we definitely had some issues with our suppliers with the deliveries and we were not able to entertain our guests with their requests. Please note the waitress you mentioned on your feedback is not our owner's wife. Our owner's wife does not work at the cafe and we would assure you that you would definitely be impressed by her customer service skills. We are currently using a temporary menu which was designed considering the uncertain circumstances on pandemic time and we will be having a new menu soon. Once again we would like to thank you for your time and wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We came on a recommendation and we’re not disappointed.
The owner served our table and it was lovely to hear about his cafe’s journey and his recent Aust day award. The interior is just gorgeous and has a lovely outdoor space where our pooch was spoiled just like us.
Breakfast did not disappoint with some lovely options including the croissant, big breaky and slow cooked lamb. Excellent coffee and fresh squeezed juice. Prices were reasonable for excellent quality.
We will definitely be back.

It was a pleasant surprise when I came last week with a friend. I definitely love the ambiance, everyone was accommodating and lovely. My friend had chai latte and it came with cute saucepan along with the spices. She also ordered warmed up croissant that looked so divine. My coffee was excellent. I really enjoyed my experience and would love to come back post lockdown. Such a wonderful place for catchup with friends. Highly recommended!!!

We have been coming to this cafe ever since it opened, probably not as often as would have liked. The food has changed where once you could get some delicious French Fancies, but nevertheless when we had lunch on Tuesday the food was delicious. I had the Vegetarian Arancini balls and the “blokes” decided on the Croissant which they couldn’t stop raving about. My cousin said that “it was the best croissant he had ever eaten” the filling consisted of spinach, cheese, egg, mushrooms and harissa, and accompanied by a side of beautiful crispy bacon. 10/10. So pleased to see that they were well patronised and well deserved too. Consider not only for breakfast and lunch but any corporate functions you may be planning. Easy parking as they are behind High Street at 26 Adams Lane. PS. Their coffee is pretty darn good also.

This was our first visit and we chose la Baguette due to the great reviews. We had the chicken burger and corn fritters. Both were delicious and the waiters were very upbeat with big smiles and positive vibes. Could not fault our lunch and hope to return.

Talked my husband into brunch here and we were not disappointed. Lovely attentive staff, music not too loud and meals beautifully presented. Loved my tea presented in small cast tea pot (stayed warm). Signature dish Pulled lamb Eggs Benedict was sensational. Wonderful ambience...Head to Adams Lane, La Baguette. Cafe Tres Bien

Great coffee , nice food . I have to say though we had a business meeting there and had numerous coffees , we were asked to leave due to bookings however the restaurant was lucky to be 20% full. I was going to order breakfast but went somewhere else.My wife and I have been there 4 times in a matter of weeks and acknowledge it is one of the better ones for breakfast in Berwick however I found that a little rude and felt we were pushed due to not ordering food yet . Just some food for thought , maybe we will try again some day

Went here for breakfast, really great customer service. Had the avo smash and asked for pulled pork on the side which was done without hassle. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Went for lunch.
Ordered a latte and a chunky beef bourguinon hot pie off the specials board.
The coffee was excellent.
The pie was alright but thought that it was a little overpriced for what it was.
Overall would visit again. Looks like a great spot for breakfast.

My friends and I have been meeting here for lunch for a few years, and have always loved the atmosphere and service. Yesterday we had to send our lunch back and go to another cafe. Our lunch was so disappointing. We won't be going back.

Always reliable and good for a casual meeting with friends.
Had the Chicken Francaise - really nice chicken fillets with thick ribbon pasta.
Wife had fish and chips - chips are fantastic.
Very nice coffee as well.
Owner / chef is very friendly.

I chose La Bagette because of its good reviews. I wanted to meet my brother who i have not seen in nearly 17 years and your staff were amazing. we had a great time and although i booked for 7 only four of us were there. one of my brothers children were ill. food was excellent coffee as well. Too full to have sweets but they looked delicious. staff are very friendly and made this occasion so great. fast service as well. thank you so much and will be back to eat there again. berwick is a beautiful place.
