Pretty good food apart from the burger which is soggy. Here at lunch time have to wait 45 minutes for food. But the food is actually not bad.

Been here several times over past couple of years, for live music at night and most recently for a large group lunch. All the staff were wonderful with our guests ranging from 9 yrs to 73 yrs of age. I love the decor and atmosphere.....very homely. No complaints about the meals and nice vegetarian options too. I'll be back again!

Brought a group of over 20 people to have lunch and dinner for a birthday party. As I was on medication and needed something. In my stomach I asked if I could just have a bowl of steamed rice, which I assured them I would pay for. They told me no and after a few tries the manager came to... More

We had visited Micawber Tavern twice in 2 days after a decent walk through the forest. The first visit was a break for the return journey back to the car, as no meals were served at this time, we had a bowl of hot chips and a couple of drinks, the chips were freshly made and very hot. The next... More

The atmosphere is amazing. We sat outside where there is a little creek, the whole place is surrounded by nature and is beautiful. Unfortunately the potential of this place is ruined by overpriced food that is average at best. I ordered a medium steak that came out well done and the food just isn't great in general but the bill... More

We went there today for lunch - just two of us. The place is lovely with a good atmosphere. We ordered the grilled mixed seafood platter @ $35.00. It consisted of 6 prawns, 2 oysters, 4 scallops, and grilled fish along with small chips and salad. Not a lot for the price we thought - we needed a magnifying glass... More

Honestly it was the worst meal I've ever ever had. Had crepe roulade, crepes were undercooked, pumpkin didn't taste fresh. Weird capiscum pepper sauce on top and then a mint and celery dressing. None of it matched. It was just vile. Girl nearly had me in tears when we complained took a good 5 minutes of haggling before she have... More

The food was decent pub food. Inside looks like a traditional English pub with lots of character. The outside garden area is beautiful with all the trees. The gentleman playing and singing on a Sunday was great!

Enjoyed our visit to this restaurant, although probably not enough to go back. It's has a cosy pub in the hills atmosphere, but could use some updating and better house keeping. It was quite full the evening we went, and we had a long wait for our meals. The staff were friendly and the food was fine - nothing wrong... More
